The new shocker is one of the ugliest markers ive ever seen

I mean look at this thing! It cost a hair under $1K and there are $300 markers with better milling.

Even the $199 Mercury rise lava has more complex milling

Hey at least they are embracing the fact that they are just a rebrand of smart parts and putting SP on it. Plus they are giving the companies like HK and adrenaline a lot more meat to cut off so they can come out with boutique markers. 🙄

I don't think I'd say ugly, but I definitely would call it plain and boring. There really isn't much there to look at.

Everything has looked sorta like an old Emag for awhile now and I can’t tell any of them apart. Some have really skinny “ripper” milling which isn’t exciting at all to look at compared to the old meaty stacked tube stuff.

Yeah, what a disappointing. I have been a long standing shocker guy from nxt to my current hk . I was expecting SP to incorporate the upgrades the hk shocker and luxe share, but they didnt do anything but put sp on the rear.they advertise they listned to pro players for improvements , but i think they had on noise cancelling head phones on. This doesn’t make SP look good.

I'd say this goes past "samey" and it looks more like the generic template for a speedball marker with 0 added anything. If it was on air challengers website as an oem option it would fit right in.

Manufactures need to start putting some meat on their guns, I bet that if planet released the cs3 with real gsl style milling, not that shallow cut knockoff that's available now, it would sell very well. Instead its gets made redundant by the 180r and there is no reason at all to spend the extra for the cs3. Cause lets be real spending 1700 on a paintball gun is a fashion choice when the same performance can be had for 450

On a purely aesthetic level I have no problem with it at all so do not find it ugly. I like subdued forms anymore. My favorite milling is CCM S5 slab sided marker.

New players basically want tubes for easy cleaning (wiping)

The printed emek bodies I've been selling the simple tube style one out sold everything else 10:1

Nothing spectacular, but I almost appreciate that they didn’t try to squeeze too much into such a small marker.

Bring back big markers that can be milled into whatever you want. ICD Bushmasters and Smart Parts Shockers had great private label selections. Hell most STBB had plenty of meat to make them unique from one another. .

Except nobody is willing to pay for custom now.

Ecapnation But people are willing to pay close to or over $1000 more for a Planet eclipse or Dye and they shoot the same and even got the same internals in some cases. An emek can go for almost a grand (maybe over now) with the parts and aftermarket bodies. This is just a dummy talking here, but all we would need is the bodies to be made just a little bit fatter. Then its all up the the mill operator and their creativity. Right? .

                        Not that simple....

Give you a for instance. I have all the machines, programs, and files needed to make any type of.... Honestly anything paintball related. I was leaning to.doing a run of dye DSR+ bodies from dye supplied bodies but quickly realized the cost of making fixtures, design and run time I'd need to sell a run of 20 bodies at $500 a piece to just break even.

                        The economics don't scale.

For the money we pay, the body should come custom looking, and you love it.

Ya gotta hand it to Smart Parts though...how they're still selling markers is beyond me. There has consistently been better options for high end guns at every point during their existence. Yet somehow they persist.
