    Messed around with some more golf leaf today

    Got this 98c from Super Nova and it's been sitting for a while. The factory powder coat was peeling so I was originally planning on painting it but decided to try something else. I got off all the powder coat that was loose so it wouldn't come off in the future then dripped/threw some of the gold leaf glue at it in random and then applied the gold leaf. Turned out decent, there were definitely spots missed. I rushed the glue drying with a heat gun and I think that needed it up a little. I only had about an hour to get this done with my girls down for nap. Even still, I like the result, I'll probably do another one with a little more time

              Looks good, sorta like a splash anno. Do you clear coat over it? Or is it durable enough as is?

                  Definitely clear over.

                  I've also learned to not do gold leaf as a solid color. Like don't do a whole marker. What happens is a few pieces come off, even with clear coat, and then it looks terrible because it's super obvious they are missing. Do a textured style then when those few pieces come off, nobody can tell the difference

                      Also. I have 1 and maybe 2 more 98s that need something. I was thinking of trying something more with the next one. Anyone have any ideas?

                      I could mask off and do something like textured stripes, spirals or something else

                      Heavy on the back, light on the front

                      Scales maybe? I'd have to paint the glue by hand but it might be possible

                          Was this liquid gold leaf?

                          If it was careful with what clear you use... I used an epoxy clear on my fully leafed emek and it made everything kinda pink hued.
