Do they also have USB AA's? Cuz whenever an electro comes out of retirement, the Spire IR comes out.
Yes, theres USB AA's. I'm really happy with my rechargeable 9V's. Most of my boards have battery meters so I know when to charge them. But also, the batteries (Blackube) have an LED that tell you when theyre fully charged via USB (green LED - fully charged, red LED - charging) You cant overcharge them so you can just leave them connected via USB when you're not using them.

I haven't had a much luck with AA's unlike my 9vs. The 9v batteries seem more consistent. AA batteries vary in performance. I would recommend the ncharge for a spire.

AA's you need to buy eneloops and just buy eneloops they are a gift from on high. Its like everything you ever thought a rechargeable battery could be, the eneloop is. It has more capacity than a normal AA and its voltage drops less under load, and they have no memory, and they can be recharged an almost never before measured number of cycles.

You just use em till you feel like chuvving them in a charger and then use them again and they work perfectly.

Panasonic, used to be Sanyo, eneloops. Gods gift.

But I don't play paintball much, if I had a hopper that used AA's I would use energizer lithium L91 primaries which are lighter and have more power than normal AA's and eneloops. The weight difference is the important part. The cost of those batteries just would never add up because I play so seldom. They have super long shelf life so one set of AA's in a hopper would probably last me 8 years.

Interesting, might give these Eneloops AA's with the USB charger a try:

Hey just wanted to report back. I just wanted to say that I am really happy with my purchase. I've already charged them a few dozen times and gotten more than my money's worth. And they are still going strong, holding a full charge, etc. Also, it's worth noting, that they don't get any kind of heat, ever. They stay 100% cool even when I'm not using them and I leave them plugged in via USB for a few days straight.

I highly recommend USB rechargeable 9V's. I will try my luck with some USB AA's next. Maybe Eneloops?
