    Backyard Chrono Stations

Lets see those backyard tuning station/ chrono/ shooting galleries!

this is a bad pic, but if you zoom in, theres a tree wearing a mask, various old beer bottles, a 5 gallon bucket lid, an old welding rod box, a yellow hard hat, a bowling pin,
    and LOTS MOrE

comming out here when i get home from work has
been some chicken soup for the soul!

I know most of you have a corner of the yard full of broken shells and splatter, maybe a bullseye or two!

No chrono yet, just an old tree that doesn't seem to mind the abuse.

Torture testing. The parts on purpose, the tree by accident. 🫠

Old Red and a Portable folding table. (If I’m tuning)

I got a Virtue Clock I keep in the toolbox but often it’s more work then needed because I have to disconnect the battery on it each and every time otherwise it drains the 9v. So I usually just use the one at the field unless the line is super long at like big games and such.

I definitely prefer big red for tuning, because when you turn it on, it’s on. The clock you have to hold the trigger down and it’s a pain with pumps because you can’t hold the pump handle forward with the other hand. So you can’t get good readings on markers you need two hands to operate.

I thought there was a stand you could get for the clock?

There might be but you still got to hold the trigger down on it I believe. Mine is a first Gen maybe the newer ones you don’t have to but on mine you do.

The stand virtue made are like $75 and it don’t look like it holds the trigger down if you could find one. I bet it would be easy to print. I probably wouldn’t buy one only cuz I have a big red.

when i first step out there and hit that 9oz tank, then the old mask i have one of the trees 'wearing', then the welding rod box, then the hanging bucket lid, then like 3 of the beer bottles in a row, with no misses in between......
            THATS A NiCE FEELING!
