Building an OG electric marker

I want to build an old school electro but I don't know which one, I know parts are getting harder to find for some and for others there's no parts at all and solenoids are dieing and replacements aernt being made anymore for some, so whats yalls recommendation anything that can be had for $100/$150 in today's market and with plenty of parts still kicking around, I know thats not a big budget in today's market

I guess my question is how OG do you want to get? Because things line SP impulses can be had all day long at $100 or $150 but there are plenty of e markers that were made before it

You can't go wrong building a timmy, but i think that's out of your budget.

Maybe you can build back an ICD promaster instead.

Shockers would be a good starting place. Lots of aftermarket support back in the day and a still active enthusiast community today.

I'd go the route of ICD Bushmaster. You can have loads of fun with them.

I also vote ICD Bushmaster. They are really easy to work on, tons of really good aftermarket options, and I've never seen a solenoid go bad on one. They are my favorite E-shooters by a long shot. Vapor works is still operational too if you want to just drop some no hassle electronics in them. They are a lot more refined and way less bulky then an impulse.

op if you decide impulse hit me up i got at least three worth of parts the noids click and the rams and hammers are in good shape or i have replaced with after market parts. all you got to do is put them together. all are blind tho cause like you i wanted real og before all the "eyes" kick. let me know we can deal

I made 6 angels. Don’t do LED or LCD. Pain the ass. You know what, don’t do anything WDP. Impulses seem to be the jam, not the first time I’ve heard that they are cheap and plentiful. I’d say maybe a Matrix but those are not OG by a long shot. I’ve been kinda digging the AKA Excalibur. But still not OG.

Iv had a few impulses and shockers and liked them, would want an imp with eyes though, how much are sft shockers going for these days

I'm kinda thinking nothing past like 06 or 07 cause that's not really an old marker to me

Impulse is a great option. Don't rule out the Nerve too. It came out a little bit later but is essentially an updated Impulse. They can be had for cheap as well.

Not a whole lot you can do to “build” one beside what it shares with the SFTs. Ndz made a bolt/ram but neither did much improvement over stock hardware.

But it is Canadian so I understand the confusion on your part. 😏

To the OP - if you don't mind bulky and inefficient, get a Matrix. They're the coolest of the original electros, IMHO.

The SFT came after the Matrix was introduced in '99/'00, if that's what you're referring to... and as for Shocker Sports - well, I'd still call them hammerless poppet guns personally, but I suppose they have spoolie-like components inside

yes, the sports/4x4/turbo shockers. hmm... may be a pressure controlled poppet, I'd have to concede that though the poppet may be going the wrong way.

I have an ICD promaster that needs some assembly but should have all parts minus a screw or two. I believe it was NOS so minimal wear, pretty basic and they shoot good. It would be in the 100ish price range. Shoot me a PM if interested

Can parts/aftermarket parts still be found for ICD guns, if a noid or a board goes out does it pretty much make it a paper weight

Yes. Vaporworks still makes chaos boards, and I've had over 15 B2K's through my hands and I've never seen a bad noid. If you DO get a bad noid, Airsoldier still has NOS.
