    Vinyl wrapping guns?

As the title says, has anyone ever vinyl wrapped a gun? I know hydrodipping is more "normal," but to my knowledge you can't do the chameleon colors you can do with vinyl. I've seen enough vinyl wrapped cars (especially Teslas) that look really good. Seem to be fairly durable too, considering cars get pelted with small rocks and whatnot while driving. So yeah, curious if anyone's tried it, how it looked, how durable it was, etc.

Should be very doable but would take a lot of trimming to get everything to be covered, fitted and looking good. I have done some office type furniture and the stuff is real tough and can be redone but I'm not sure I would take on doing a marker I could see getting real frustrated getting everything on looking good and functional.

This was something that was actually offered almost back in the day. There were sticker kits for 68 carbines to make them splash or camouflage

ive wondered about doing this also but thought I might need to use a marker with very smooth simple milling to make trimming the vinyl more manageable. If you do it, post up some pics.

It it's a simple tube, would be relatively easy. Just tuck the edges under the frame, barrel, and back cap. Feedback might be tricky, would have to stretch a smaller vinyl hole over it and then trim.

Sharp edges or fancy milling would be very hard and may not work at all. Would be hard to get vinyl to stretch over corners and vinyl over milling would have a lot of bubbles that are hard to get out.

Chameleon and metallic/chrome vinyls are harder to work with as they don't stretch as well.

Also, gun oil, paint, or grease near any of the edges will work in and cause vinyl to lift. Same with dirt.

Ive wrapped cars and it's different as you typically don't notice the stuff that's tucked behind trim and all that, there's just a lower level of intricacy. If you look at any wrapped car close enough, you can see the details on the wrap they can't hide.

Teslas are popular because they used to only come in white without paying more and they are relatively easy because they're smooth. If you get the paintball version of that, it would be easier.
