Hey everyone, i just wanted to share a project i have been working on. After burning out a board i intended to use on a GZ timmy the other day, I set out to make my own solution. I repair a number of older guns that dont have 10.5 ramp stock, so I am always on the hunt for boards. I had dabbled into arduinos from other projects (nerf blasters ) and figured this could work here. So I came up with this (eyes not pictured here).
its an arduino nano controller, a mosfet board to drive the solenoid, a small microswitch for the trigger, and an OLED screen for display. The system is powered by a 1s lipo that you can get in various shapes and sizes. Its coded (thanks chatgpt!) so that you can toggle settings when you hold the trigger down on powerup. I was able to design some grips that let me add the oled on the side of the GZ. Uses breakbeam eyes for paint detection.
I have since added one to my Lasoya as well.
Its a good solution for your own markers imo. Saves a few bucks to get stuff running on ramp. Here is the video of the gz using it:
If you want to make your own, i made a BOM on amazon here:
If you want to set up one for yourself, i am happy to help.
