I haven't seen that color either. I don't have the box for mine anymore but I'll have to take pics/measurements to compare

My buddy chuck got a bunch the same style for our scenario, but pink fill and pink shell w a purple swirl.
I could shoot it out my 685 cp no problem when it was fresh, a couple months later I get a roller every 100 balls or so without another sizer.
Not super brittle, but flies straight, I bounced 3-4 off guys during the bacci summer game

I know us socal guys are spoiled with good paint but does D3FY not sell paint to other parts of the country? They quite literally are the only paint I will shoot and you never have to worry about quality

Except you have to worry about giving people concussions.. hardest paint I’ve ever been shot by

D3FY on the east coast was trash. My local field got all three grades it all was garbage. Likely a shipping issue if it’s good on your side of the globe.
-
It’s all tournament grade other than magfed grade around here

Here are the results of my measurement session.
I took 10 samples out of my paint jug and took measurements on the seam and opposite of the seam.
I also found one that appears to have a wart or zit on it.
Did not measure on that, but it would certainly affect the flight of that ball.
My measurements seem to confirm that the paint is small and egg shaped.
Wish I still had access to the optical comparator from a previous job.
It would really show the profile of the shell well.

The vast majority of American paintball fields require that you use GI because they have entered into contracts with GI. They will often have a clause that allows BYOP (tournaments plus one big game a year, for example) which is the only opportunity to use something like Graffiti. Every other day they’re trying convince you the number of stars on the package actually matters, that “it doesn’t bounce that much”, etc.
So for most of us, most of the time, Graffiti is perfectly great when you get to use it which is rarely. The only way out of this is to have a field that’s profitable enough to not need GI’s “opportunities too good to pass up”. Most paintball fields fail to make any profit in either case and give out in a year or two.

Lots of barrel breaks and confetti just past the barrel. I had a .675 insert I maybe should have used, but it was so egg shaped, I thought it would cause more issues. I may just leave it sit out and see if I can get it to swell a bit. Sometimes that and rotating it a couple of times helps get the shape again.
I'll know in a few weeks when I play again.

The measurements in post 23 don’t surprise me. I’ll be a broken record and say again, it’s why I use a .693 and forget about it (.689 or larger should suffice).
I’ll measure paint and do drop tests out of curiosity, but there’s nothing I can do about the results. I measure 4 places around the seam and 4 places around the polar axes.
In general:
Good: .010” spread on one seam, .015” spread between both seams
OK: .020” spread on one seam, .030” spread between both seams
Poor: Anything greater than above
Worst I remember is something like .635-.685”. I couldn’t hit 280fps with the Etha 3 reg maxed out with a .685” barrel at that time. The GI 3 Star I have right now is .668-.692”.
I’d love to see more measurements like this from others with brand/model, location, and general comments about its performance.

Are we finally at the point where we ask Nelson for a quote on .69 caliber paint?
I would pay $25-40 per bag of .69 cal paint depending on quality.

It’s my understanding that they will still do custom batches of paint if you order enough.
-
I thought I saw someone saying they’d make a batch of it was a large enough order.

I’m aligned with Siress spherical .65” x 3.5g mentality, provided I could get a nice one piece .650”-ish barrel, so maybe .675” until smaller barrels come out.
However, I have no faith the paint would get to me in the desired condition without exorbitant, climate-controlled transportation costs.
