I assume the valve is modified to not blow back anymore (cause right these originally are basically just a STBB but with a closed bolt design and the weird feed system right)?

Yeah, in a nutshell that's how you could describe it.

In order to do it though it's a 2 piece hammer. So the blowback air blows both hammers back then the outer comes back forward with the bolt

I still maintain that that is a very odd choice to pump. I will still defend just about anyone's choice to modify almost anything. That doesn't make it make sense though
