Alright experts, I am wanting a mag body with the offset vertical feed. A few questions, who made these? Was it only Luke? Also, what is the correct name for this? Not sure if it has a specific name.

Just an offset vert feed, Luke make them in right and left feed. I have one on my rt classic in right center feed, their very nice for sighting down the barrel.
All they are, are just modified twistlock bodies, where the powerfeed wouldve been removed, the angled center feed adapter would've been fabricated, and then welded on. Some were cut for empire spec feednecks, but most are stovepipes that you'd put a clamp on feedneck adapter on

Yes, all of the stainless steel bodies were made for twist lock barrels. If you don't like twist lock, Doc makes a great adapter to convert twist lock to AC barrels and uses Spyder Detents. I have a two bodies set up this way.

In a body like a minimag where the barrel sets fairly deep into the body how does the adaptor work? Does it ever get stuck in the body and just the barrel unthread from it?
