Eventually, you have to gunfight. There are 14 beams now

I think the whole "don't gunfight" idea still has some merit (if the goal is strictly winning) Players tend to tunnel vision on their opponent when gunfighting. They ignore the rest of the field and then get taken out by someone they are not gunfighting with.

The longer you play the more you can control that urge but it's easier to teach someone to not gunfight over how to manage their attention responsibly

Don’t gunfight give you a stalemate at best. Your front guys are doing the majority of work watch the pro points. Up the gut breaks. Digging a player out of a key position and capitalizing on it before the other team. Sitting and shooting paint will work for some teams but. You’re not going to hit your primary’s and lock it down with a good team. Not saying you won’t get a lucky point. But the majority of points are not won that way. There is so much more to the game. Woods players love to down play the skill required to play speedball. The reality is good players are good regardless of what field and marker they shoot. Don’t sleep on the pump players tho. You want to hone your snap shooting ball with the pump guys.
