    .50 cal sidearm Tippmann !

neat little Tippmann rebranded .50 cal pistol!

Tippmann Brigade Menace .50 Cal Paintball Pistol delivers afforable semi-auto performance, lightweight design. Free Shipping available.

I can think of multiple times I've had my primary (and only!) marker go down mid game.

I've never liked the idea of a TPX or old school SA17 pistols as a sidearm , since they're so bulky!

But this little guy, I'm feeling like it'd small and light and a perfect secondary!

At least these have an adjustable velocity, if they're the same as the GI Sportz-branded ones were.
The hitch is that you have to find a place that actually allows .50 paint.

If fifty cal was market for this type of stuff instead of the future of paintball we’d have more cool stuff

I think it went GI to Tippmann and now Lancer Tactical is selling them. I just bought the Lancer Scorpion. It's got the quick slap to prime and twist to degas, so you don't have to dry fire to empty and change the 12g. So far so good. Small and good enough as a true sidearm for close range with .50 cal. Not sure I'd want to run it as a primary, but I might try next season if it's just a bunch of novices/rentals. It pairs well with the universal holster from MCSUS.

          Cons:
          1. Long trigger pull. It can be shot single-action if you cock the hammer, but semi is double-action.
          2. Somewhat tied to #1, once you start a trigger pull, you'd better finish it. Short-stroking can cause a second ball to load in the barrel. This is because the first part of the pull moves the barrel back to seal the ball. It's not shot out of the magazine like *Umarex T4E style .43 cal* CO2 pistols though. It's just sealing the top ball of the stack that's already been pushed out of the magazine into the "chamber". There are actually two detents in the barrel. The first (furthest back) is a Tippmmann style nested in the top of the barrel that keeps the "chambered" ball and those below it in the magazine stack from pushing out the barrel. The second is a nubbin/nipple style on the side of the barrel that keeps the ball from rolling down the barrel after you start the trigger pull but before the hammer strikes.
          3. The detent in the magazines have to be bent a bit to actually hold the paintballs in. I think they're factory set for less lethal stuff that is truer to .50 cal than paintballs.

One more thing, pistols are typically hard on paint, but since .50 cal is generally tougher, I haven't broken a ball yet, even letting some paint sit in the garage in the mid-20 degrees Fahrenheit.

*Edit: Meant Umarex T4E style .43 cal CO2 pistols, not airsoft
