That is so awesome. Kudos to them on actually coming up with a modern re-interpretation instead of just a rehashed copy. The pull pin and frame are amazing.

Did anyone else notice that the model numbers for the 3-way and LPR are now DFF-21 instead of the original DFF-20? Yet the HPR is still DFF-20. Does anyone know if that actually denotes some sort of upgrade/revision on Dye's part for these?
Also the grip frame looks like it came right off of an M3 - am I seeing that wrong?

It’s cool. But it’s not 1300 cool. I’d rather modernize an original.
I really detest Freeflows one day sales to drive the cost.

I think it does two things: it makes fence leaners choose a side increasing sales, and it lets free flow do a single batch and be done with it, driving costs down.
Carrying no inventory is ideal for a company and doing this means their money turns around right away.
As far as an original versus these goes, the originals had bad bolt design, bad pneumatics, terrible WGP threaded feed tube, and mediocre hinge frames that took like 15 years to finally sell through on eBay because no one wanted them. They’re worth money now but it’s like a totally different reality than when the gun was new and almost no one liked the frame.
The new gun has an amazing looking bolt and pin design, an exciting new frame, great feedneck, and pneumatics that are better than the originals even the flawed first release version was better than OG dyes.
I don’t see a single advantage to the original reflex it was basically worse than a stock 2k cocker in my book.

The frame has been milled down to take UL grips, so presumably it's gonna share it's basic feel and look with the rest of the Dye line's UL frames.

I was all about it until I looked at how the grips fit. The grips are very much designed around a double trigger frame so they hang out in front of the frame kind of weird and TBH that just bothers me on a $1500 gun when you include a basic gloss anno or fade. I'd rather have a decent 45 frame than the UL one unless they come out with single trigger grips.
