my tr50s don't break a lot of paint. Now the Roscoe is a blender. The barrel diameter is tighter than the cylinders. I struggle to find paint that fits in the barrel. Most 50 cal paint either breaks or gets stuck.

You can always count on the MCB squad to have all sorts of mods for any gun....

Everything that has been said so far has some merit. But I'm weak and will buy this as soon as its available. And Hell No to the Pre Order. I've been waiting a year for my pre ordered HDB68. I should be getting interest on that money.

Why not factory velocity adjuster? Gun laws. They make the different Joule versions of the product to fit gun laws in specific countries. If it had a factory velocity adjuster installed, A person in England (7.5 Joule limit) could buy it legally and crank it up to an illegal 16 Joule velocity. Parliament would then penalize Umarex

I guess that sort of makes sense but everyone knows that Freedomland is the place to make money on Gun Stuff *shrugs*

If they're the kind of engineering-led company I've worked for in the past then market research and customer experience will be wayyyy down the priority list. Risk aversion will be up near the top (mostly due to uncertainty caused by said lack of research...). All signs suggest that's the case to date.

One of the biggest issues seems to be about 50% of people interested have misunderstood what the purpose of the velocity adjuster is. Despite my many times stating in various post, videos, descriptions, etc... that this was designed to bring velocity under 300 fps (92 m/s) for paintball usage, about half of the people who have contacted me to buy one have believed this was intended to increase output.

<shameless whoring> You can get a velocity adjuster for the Umarex HDR50/TR50/NXG PS-100 here. </shameless whoring>

It would work great in both markets. I like their products but the lack of adjustments is a deal breaker for me. I had the TR-50 and it felt great and did work. But not being able to adjust it and using 12g was too much of a hassle. I know that there's air adapters now (that Umarex said will work on this .68 version as well) but the only way it was field legal initially was by shooting 10 shots out before you went on the field. I feel like they get so close but don't really understand the home defense or paintball industries. For home defense I want something that's really going to hit hard for defense and for paintball I need to adjust it. They could do it all in one product if they would just finish it out properly. They have to hear the complaints but never really address them. /rant
That being said, if Umarex were to develop a second version specifically for the paintball market and leaned in with adjustable velocity, a threaded barrel, and made it easy to clean, I feel as though the sales would be worth their investment.
