but a German Company offer Steel Balls who are Rubber coated. Until today I just shoot "light weight" Rubber Balls from my big Marker to some Cardboard Boxes and oh Boy I got screwed... Now the Door behind them have some big indents (keep in mind the are only Rubber no Metal inside!). .
The makeup of the ball doesn't really matter. As it gets heavier the velocity goes down because you only have the same muzzle energy to work with. The heavier slower ball has the same energy as the lighter faster ball

That's the problem with everyone thinking these metal balls will do more damage than say a hard plastic, they won't. The only thing a heavier ball does is conserve the energy through it's flight better but considering these are all short range deterrents, it's kind of moot

Well here the law is a bit complicated. With self defence you can "just" use the same force as the Attacker. That mean when someone jump over the Fence shooting them with a Crossbow could be "to much" for the Court. A Paintball Marker is considered a "Toy" but you are not permit to Carry them loaded outside of your Property. Not just Pepperballs are "good" but a German Company offer Steel Balls who are Rubber coated. Until today I just shoot "light weight" Rubber Balls from my big Marker to some Cardboard Boxes and oh Boy I got screwed... Now the Door behind them have some big indents (keep in mind the are only Rubber no Metal inside!). Please dont think that is my only Product I own. I got from a Czech Company an original new Police Riot shield and Police Grade Pepper sprays.
It is sad how insane People nowerdays get. Pls look on Youtube for "Drachenlord, Schanze" what Young Adults do.

With pepper balls they can be effective. Honestly I would rather have T ball bat. When setup for self defense you can get those rounds humming. Close range it’s going to be a big deterrent. Frangible 5.56, Ranger T .40 , and 00 Buck is my personal favorites for myself.

I'm not so sure it is better than nothing. If it gives the home owner a sense that it will actually do something and does basically nothing is it better to have that false sense of security or know that they should reach for something else first?

I got an extra reg I'm going to shim up I figure about 850psi should do it. I got one set for my Phantom already so I’m going to try that first see how she shoots. I haven’t really
found anything I can’t get to shoot on HPA it’s just a matter of finding the right pressure. It handles C02 so it should handle Higher HPA just fine. It will have a substantial dump chamber of air behind it to due to the adapter and filling the 12g’s location.

Well I love them (with the Umarex Powder Balls) to shoot on Targets.
Here in good old Europe its used for self defence to. Depend on the Country the "Revolver" if made in an more compact form factor and the big Pumpgun Style one with 40J are nice and less lethal (and mostly the only option). In country like Germany where the are regulated to <7,5J (or so) the could be used only for Blinking.

These revolvers really are hot garbage for paintball usage. I haven’t been able to get anything other than rubber roundball to fire effectively. It obliterates first strikes and roundball paintballs into instant soup. Love the look and feel, but it just isn’t made to be used for our sport.

0/10 would not recommend. No banana for scale, sorry

I'm intrigued by what one of these would handle like with the Palmer's tank adapter. Having any kind of a stock would definitely cut down on fatigue when holding these things towards the target. However, I'm curious whether the switch the HPA would drop the velocity, since out of the box they're designed to run on liquid CO2.

Full coach gun build would be fun. I drilled my restrictor but I don't feel like putting much more effort into it. Cool build buddy

But the Revolvers (.68) are a big disappointment. I don’t see a path forward to make them usable. The 50 cal ones work good I got velocity adjusters for mine and 50 cal FS rounds. I bought two for quick draw fun. They don’t mark big enough to use in an a game though. They don’t shoot very far because 50 cal.

That's a shame about the revolver. I think with a few easy tweaks to the hds double barrel they could make it a viable affordable stock class marker. Make it velocity adjustable, and give the 12 gram knob and bigger more ergonomic handle. Bonus points for a brass or fiberoptic bead sight, and freak compatible.
The Shotgun works good. Drill the restrictor pull the stock barrels slide in standard freak inserts in there place capture them in some Brass or CF tubing. I built this for Creepers Budget Build off. I’m getting double barrel shots 2 paintballs at like 280ish. I just traded for a Palmers 105* ASA adapter so I can run an HPA tank off the back and I got a NiceButt stock I’m going to put on it for the full size stocked shot gun look.

It's not really open though. The barrel articulates into the cylinder. That was my largest gripe with it. The spring they used to articulate the barrel is so strong that it really affects the trigger pull. Pull slow and it is a much stiffer trigger pull, faster and the trigger flies back. The trigger and therefore exactly when it fired seemed really unpredictable to me. Hated it.

Traded for a Roscoe, I'm not saying the Roscoe doesn't have any problems but it sure is a lot more fun
