These are going to be awesome. 13's are a little on the short side, so this length ought to be perfect.

So I don't want to seem like I'm stirring the pot, but what's the advantage of one of these compared to a 26/3k? The 26/3ks would have a similar shot count, and cost 1/4 of what these do. Tank life seems like a "meh" point considering 15 years is a LONG time anyway. Genuinely curious/wanting to learn something I'm probably not thinking about.

And if the answer is as simple as "it's just cool"/"shut up and take my money" that's totally fine too

The big selling point is that they fit in the tank-in-stock systems of the tactical magfed markers without being ridiculously long, and offer superior shot counts to the 13/3k.

Understood! Never would have thought of that, but I also have a solid 10 years of catching up to do!

The 26 is much longer than either the 13/15 as well. I recently have mine to my buddy Mark who loves the length of it since it's similar to a 12oz co2 tank.

            #21
Smaller than a comparable 3k with the same shot capacity. 13/3k size with sufficient capacity to use in a big game, rather than having to go all the way to a 45/45, is a big draw for me.

It’s the perfect open class pump tank. Its long and narrow so it lets you to keep that outside elbow tucked in. It will also provide a lil extra air for when air stations are not conveniently located. All the ergonomics of a 13ci/18ci with more capacity.

Makes sense. If someone was already dropping $100 on a 17/3k, I suppose what's another $115 in the grand scheme of things? That's maybe 2 cases of top shelf paint...

When you factor in how long a tank last for it’s really an inexpensive paintball accessory. But it’s also a very important one. People think nothing of dropping 200+ on a hopper or mask. Why not a unique tank. My 45/45 works great but I really like the idea of of a lil longer narrow tank. With my 45/45 I run a reg extender. With the 15/45 I shouldn’t have to, and it will be fun on my Emek with the 50 round pod setup I have.

With the First Strike regulator, is it the same overall length as a 13ci with the Ninja reg? (or very close to it)

It's REALLY close, lemme check...on overall length, the FS is about 3/8" longer - 9 3/4" vs. 10 1/8". And the FS is a LOT lighter.

Perfect. Thank you! I was already sold on one of these guys anyway, but it really needed to be about the same length for my dedicated OC set up (having a friend modify my drop forward and we used my 13/3000 to mock up.)

I hope my local shop still has some when I get there on the 20th.

Seems like a 15 with a different reg and/or one of those extenders would be approximately the same length as a 17?

I've never seen anyone so desperate for an extra two inches since I left my ex wife.

Cool idea, but yeah, for the price I'll stick with a 13cu. The extra weight from an aluminum tank will buff my arms out, which will make finding a new wife that much easier.

I have seen a few of these coming up on Facebook pages, so it looks like if you have enough followers and the right marker lube, you can yet bumped up on the priority list.

I'd cant wait for all the "efficiency" and "how many shots" YouTube videos that'll start popping from people who probably don't play more than a few hours a season too 😆

I need to make a rubber pad for mine. Noticably lighter than a 13. I was getting around 150 usable shots from my T2 with an extended powerhouse on it. Pretty good for me. But I really need a grippy rubber pad before I can really enjoy it.

A bit of a nit pick, I was supposed to get a hoodie in large and instead got a t-shirt in XL. Thing looks like wizards robe on me. I don't really care, but you know... Im always wanting hoodies. We wear them in 115 out here.

Ill give my two cents on this new tank given it would work for my stock pump and havoc launcher.

greater capacity for size.... great improvement and desirable
overall length.. no that much different than the 13/3000 so no issue there
weight.... negligible difference . the difference is slightly (very) more than the weight of a quarter
having to rehydro every 5 years for long time life.. a negative in one situation (see later comment)

but the 219 plus cost... MAJOR DEAL BREAKER

look it is an improvement in shots per tank for the size and that is without question. So I am not in anyway saying the tank itself is bad.

but given a 13/3000 is 50 dollars (what its replacing) the extra capacity for a whopping 170 dollars difference..
                    common.
now add the cost of 40 rehydro (ninja price and they take off/put back on the reg) that yes breaks down to 8 dollars a year (as small overall as that is) .

yes people bring up "someone is willing to drop 200 (ish) for a new tank) " and all the power to them

but even at that i can get a 48/45 decent reg stubby that for capacity will blow this tank out of the water for new 140ish even that reasoning doesnt hold water with me

I know it isnt reasonable to think you could get this tank for the same price as a 13/3000 metal tank.

100 dollar price (give or take a few sheckles ) would be expected and I would pick one up in a heartbeat.

but over 200? even considering its new IMO is ridiculous.

I dont fault them if they can and do get the price they want.. no issue with that and all the power to them

but as far as me personally (and i feel not the minority) the overall price is a deal killer at this time.

but if the cost comes down to earth i will consider picking one up

                    scrounger

PS is it confirmed lifetime tank or is there some actual limit?
seen lots of question on that

It still needs to be hydro tested. “Life time” just means it doesn’t have an date it can no longer be tested. You still have to hydro it just like any other tank.

In Canada we don’t need to hydro tanks under 61cu, which is where this becomes attractive. Normal tanks have 15 year lives, this is much great. It’s tempting but if I can get the same benefit out of a 48/4500 for a similar or lower price then it’s hard to justify. And these cost over $300 in Canada.

Rehydro is shy of 20$usd(25$cad) local to me.
                      Covid price bump from 23$cad.

But I’m still not buying that tank at that cost and local shop say it fly off the shelf.

I like the idea of these tanks. But at $300 here in Canada, that’s a hard pass from me.

I stick to my Tippmann 26/3000 tank. Perfect tank for my pumps or even hopper ball on my semis. Comfy length compared to the too short for comfort 13ci tanks. And being aluminum is a lifetime bottle with no need for hydro. The only thing a 26/3000 gives up to this is the weight and rotatable reg. That’s hardly worth the over $200 premium.

Tank definitely needs something on the end to keep it from slipping -

No joke, after lengthly internet crawl trying to find a silicone end cap, I bought one of these and put it on the end of my tank. Its silicone, nice and grippy. Small size, lol. smh

Its definitely not as rugged as I would like, but It should last a little while. If you get one you'll be like, "holy crap this is small!" But it stretched to fit fine. Probably not "worth" the $6, but like you mentioned, there really isnt anything out there so I didn't mind the price.
