Cool new Loader, ProToyz Speedster Dual Caliber

looks like a Revvy with tool less disassembly, and ability to run .50 cal ( on the converted emeks, enmeys, eteks ) . Pretty neat!

It really seems like revvy internals put inside a spire shell that uses AA batteries.

And uses an extra AA? That's wack. Maybe appealing to the .50 cal crowd is a fair selling point, I don't follow .50 cal.

Seems like a decent alternative to expansive loaders ... But still $65, you can get a few revy for that.
also, it has a proprietary lid, so no standard speed feed option

Might work great on semi and pump

$65 isn't terrible. I've got to buy CF20 mags first

Works pretty well on my Emek and LV as well =P

The marketing left out that it's balanced on the feedneck which I like. The batteries last a LONG time. The floor of the hopper has been designed with some cleverness which ensures better feeding than you could expect with a regular revy.

65 for your average mega baller looking for the lightest/brighest may not mean much, but I think the rental fleet folks will gobble this up.

I was wondering how much of the "weight" that everyone is complaining about in reviews isn't as noticeable due to it being centered. Is capacity really 200+?

If you already own a Revvy, I don't see the point. But if you want a cheap mech hopper, I don't see any cons.

$65 is just a touch high for me when as stated, the Revy can be had new for a few bucks less. Much less used and likely still working like a champ.
I'd like to find one of these on the used market eventually. Would make a nice hopper to loan out and go with some mech play. Curious to see what the speed feeds are like on them.

Would you say it feeds consistently/steadily? How heavy are you thinking it is? Looks heavier than a Revvy... Close to the Spire IR maybe? Heavier?
Always looking to try different hoppers for my Resurrection.

Don't know about the feed rate. Seemed consistent when the guy was using it. I was geeking out on everyone's gear after a pump tournament. Certainly heavier than a revy, and it was hard to tell, but it felt just a touch heavier than my Vlocity JR. Profile on the marker was really nice.

OK, I've owned a VLocity Jr. before. Not too bad. Thank you very much, sir.

What are yours guys thoughts on the Speedster seeming, at least in part, to be intended for Field Owners to offer an upgrade from gravity fed loaders ie. the anti tamper power button, extra thick durable Renter proof grn shell, etc , ? Does this mean more fields are recognizing that an agitating loader will give a new player a much better first time experience? And with the ability to convert to .50 cal, does this indicate more fields are offering .50 cal now as a rental option?

I think it, like the PALS loader paired with an EMEK, is a superb idea specifically tailored for just that niche. We’re looking at and seeing the downsides as a player with our own gear. The tamper button, the non-standard lid, plain exterior. Those are huge selling points to a field owner however. The lid looks extremely wide mouthed, it’s that same corrugated hinge as the PALS. A power bottom that’s not just on and off means a bump or a curious renter won’t end up with it turned off. Simple aesthetics’s mean it’s easy to keep clean and not overly attractive to someone who might make off with it.

Honestly, it would be perfect for a lot of people that are looking for an agitating hopper that don't want to spend $100+.... I really want something like this because I'm equipping three people (myself and my two sons) and there is no way I can swing for a spire or whatever and then pay greens fees and buy paint for the three of us. I also don't play all that often... so I'm not breaking the bank to have what looks to be a nice hopper to use maybe 4 times a year. This will be on my Christmas list for sure.

Just got a new autococker and I'm looking for a new hopper to go on top. It can outrun my proto primo but on not sure if I want or need to pay for a LVL or LTR to feed a nice mech, does anyone think this would he a good middle ground to throw on a Meteor?

I haven't used it myself, but judging from Youtube speed test videos it seems like it'd keep up fine. I think the LTR is way overkill on any mech barring a RT Tippmann or RT/X-Mag.
Here's a video with it on a Macdev Prime. Keeps up nicely. Shooting starts at 15 mins.
