    Ninja is done

No public announcement yet, but key people (like Yoshi) had already left, and there's no way to get a hold of anyone over there. Rumor is that Powerhouse will be taking over.

Hopefully with PH taking over we'll see some new 45/4500, I have one that needs a hydro but after that it's done, I'd love to be able to get a new one to last me another 15 years

We can only hope. I've been checking in with Ninja every month or two for a while now asking about the 45's. While not discontinued, they've consistently said there haven't been enough orders to justify making another batch (yet)

I'm with you, my favorite size. I ended up switching to a used ninja 50/4500 w/tank extender when mine died

Yeah my 45/45 has one more hydro left. Im giving it to a teammate since I use my 2” round 45 tank’s for the job.

The 45/45 was a great all around size.

The ball valve was ninjas demise it’s why I stopped using them.

I was thinking about buying a Flex reg (for like the past two years). I hope more companies start to make a similar product.

Really? Man, hate to hear this. Ninja tanks have been all I have been using for years. I have two that need to be hydrotested now. Anyone have any suggestions for reputable hydrotesting?

I can second Hogan's Alley. Did my tank there and they are very knowledgeable about the process and torque the reg to the torque specs instead of loctite.

Ditto on Hogan's Alley. They're also one of the few testers who are certified to test UNISO tanks like those made by First Strike (such as their 15/4500 tanks).

Ugh... How the market swayed to regs costing $250 I will never understand.

More than likely the reason loader prices doubles a few years ago...

We use $400 tanks and $250 hoppers to shoot crappier quality paint then in the 90's at a slower rate of fire

And when they do come out with new gear at those prices it isn't really any better then the previous model, like the spire what are they at like 5 now and to me they are all the same really, same with the rotor

I recently used American Hydrostatic Services and had a good experience. In my case they are local, so I didn't have to ship anything, but I would imagine they can go that route as well.

I don't know about rest of the community but, what prompted me to start buying Ninja tanks was the independent testing (when they were new on the market) that demonstrated their pressure consistency and solid recharge rate (great for the high ROF at the time). What surprises me the most about this relatively recent rise, at least in popularity, is that it largely seems to have come without any similar amount of independent testing. Also, didn't Ninja successfully sue Powerhouse for patent infringement?

They did sue PH and win, forcing PH to change their design. PH taking over is a rumor, we'll see what happens. But I'm curious if that whole thing has something to do with Ninja shutting down for good.

Look for a place local to you that test/fills fire extinguishers. They will usually do hydro testing

That’s a shame, I’ve been using Ninja tanks for a very long time and they’ve always worked well for me.

I’m pretty sure they are all manufactured at a few locations to very similar spec, and just the labels and graphic design changes. The difference is in the reg and shape of the tanks.

From my experience as long as it doesn’t have a Ninja Ball valve reg or a First Strike reg. They are all pretty much the same within a few grams. I like the cheap knockoff pure energy regs better than the ones I mentioned above.

Exactly, paintball companies rebrand tanks that are all made by a handful of the same manufacturers. Regs are a different story but I agree as mentioned above, Ninja if no ball valve, nothing HK, no cheap black unmarked stuff. Powerhouse makes great regs even though over priced but used go for what Ninja do new.
