Be cool if a company actually invested in making a decent paintball marker...

Their revolver is pretty good for CQB fields. A number of guys were using them this weekend. My brother has the TRD revolver and it’s a fun shooter in the backyard too.

These new pb masquerading shotguns are too big for FPS nerfing, even at .68 call, no bueno.

Umarex is one velocity adjuster away from having their guns really take off.

They missed a trick not giving the SPAS12 the characteristic sheet metal folding stock,

Needs the Shephard's Hook stock and crap reliability that defined the SPAS-12.

New video on Youtube for the Umarex HDX shotgun. I am not capable of doing a link, Someone younger and wiser will do that. It's in German, so all my comments are up for correction. I has the gas in stock, quick pierce system of the Prime Guard and RAP shotgun. It comes in 3 powers. This is where German helps. So my best guess is like the HDS68, it is different size spacers in the valve, restricting the power. Any of our bi lingual friends could help with the correct details. You can post anonymously. We are a don't ask don't tell community, who supports your bi lingual lifestyle. I'm pretty sure this is the $294.00 version due out in September or so. The cheaper HDB ($194.00) due out in May, has not showed up on any videos yet. Defcon in Canada, our polite neighbors to the north, and MCSUS.com are taking preorders. I wish I could say that I was going to pass, but we all know that's crap. I'm already planning my preorder.

Latest news. Youtube has an English review/overview of the HDX68. They will be available in 3 factory power settings. 7.5 joule, 16 joule and 40 joule. Basically all the same gun with different restrictors. all can run on 2 12 grams. The 40 is set to use 88 gram CO2 cylinders, but can use 12 grams at a reduced power. It appears the 16 joule will be the best for paintball.

Neat! I've wanted to try some of the Umarex stuff, but I'm hung up on the adjustability aspect.

Cripes on Friday. What's the intended application for that? It would legally be a firearm in most, of not all of Europe. I think the muzzle energy of an FN-303 is only 30j.

My guess would be an entry into the non-lethal USA market.

hypothesis: start high for the marketing, then lower for the ability to sell and rely on consumers not caring about the difference.

I seen MCS post about the pump version, eta for it is December of this year, at first I wasn't too sure on how I felt about it, but seeing all the Magfed guys bitch about it not serving a purpose on Facebook has me more intrigued and wanting to get one

I think they are really onto something there

a "shotgun" style with realistic pump and ability for cool accessories to make the most die hard mil sim person salivate.
I personally LOVE the flashlight option .

if they would need to have a velocity adjuster (MANDATORY for US paintball market)
the only other two modifications i can see needed (or at least wanted) is this
                      a. a way for greater air source
be it an internal small tank or a remote adaptor.
                      b. an easy breakdown (if not already included) for cleaning

id want to buy this in a nano second

oh one other thing a US distributor..
oversee buying can be tricky at best for something like this

with respect siress we ALREADY have barrels with similar "tactical tip"
given the overall setup to say this is what tips it over on the "real weapons" vs paintball gun i think your being a tad petty.
along with just because it LOOKS like a "real weapon" does not make it one
as for "no place on the field" me thinks you havent been to a major event with mag fed players or themes like "call of duty" "d day" ect.

I think he was commenting on the fact that this thing appears to have sharpened "door breacher" teeth around its muzzle. Not great for paintball (or at least paintball bunkers) for the same reason bayonets aren't.

The Inflicted is correct, as usual. Those would cause tremendous amounts of soft tissue damage to us meat sacks, and much more easily puncture our precious epidermis - not to mention what it could do to the anti-glare coating on my lens.

I'm so confused why they can make a full sized shotgun and not give it velocity adjustment beyond 1) paintball (hopefully) 2) hurt it 3) kill it

What is this? The late 80s? When cockers had adjustable RVAs with only 4 presets? We are 30 years down the road.

I guess I'm upset because I've always wanted a shotgun pump but to have one out there that is just done so poorly is disappointing

I can only assume (and it's true based on the groups I've had contact with) that milsim magfed ballers have much lower standards. Mostly because they haven't been exposed to the tech race that happened in speedball.

Why make a velocity adjustment when most of your market have never touched the ones they DO have? It's not like they chrono, ever. This is a difference between the US/English speaking market and the Europe/non anglo markets. They're targeting the non-US market.

Of course there are plenty of magfed milsim ballers out there who understand these things, but most of them are in the US. Velocity limits aren't that important outside the US, we only use them out of convention. There's no sense educating your market to demand innovation when you have almost zero competition.
