Pardon my ignorance if I am doing this wrong, but I have a suggestion that may make the forum, especially the feedback threads easier to use.
This is specifically an issue in the feedback thread forums. Id like the ability to either add a keyword(s) to the " filter" options. Or better yet the ability to search said sub forum there.
Lets take my recent feedback for shooter311 for example. To find his feedback thread I first attempted a search for "shooter311". No feedback thread. Searched "shooter feedback" nothing. Searched a few other combinations of that with no luck.
All of my attempts pulled some randomness from all over the forum, not specifically the feedback thread sub forum, and not specifically posts by shooter311.
Then I Went back to the feedback subforum to dig. I noticed the " filter" results. I sorted by members, then had to guess where S lands on the list of feedback threads, and bop through pages til I found his thread. It was page 23 or something.
Luckily it was an S because he was the creator of his own thread. A lot of members' feedbackthreads were created by someone else. So this filtering method isnt always going to work. It leaves you to guessing again.
From this I see two possible improvements we can make. Id either like the ability to use the search function, but select which sub forum you want to search in with your selected keywords.
The other idea this spurs is to add a "keyword" bar to the filter function in said sub forums to act as a sub forum search.
Does that make sense? Would it be easy to achieve code wise? And or is this already a feature I just failed to see?
Thanks all!
