New Sheridan Fast-Changers!

For those that haven't been following my thread in the Airsmith's section, I've been making a recreation of the old TASO Fasst-Changer knobs for PGPs and other Sheridans. These are identical reproductions of the original TASOs, and should be 100% compatible. I'm told it can be a little hit-and-miss with the Palmer's stuff, but both of those only matter if you want to use some loose parts you already have.

(I have spare cups and collars, if you have an old TASO knob yo want to use, just ask!)

Had a minor setback in that the anodizer f**king LOST a whole bushel of my parts, but if they can't be found, I'll be making more as soon as I can.

In the meantime, I was able to assemble a couple dozen, and of course you lot get first pull before I put them in the stores.



I have nine left, and I'm asking $55 each. I can do Global Advantage (the old First Class) for $4.50, or Priority for $9.50. For those of you in Canada, GA will be about $17 (sorry, I don't set the prices) and Priority... er, $35.

Pretty much first-come, first-served for these nine. The rest are probably six to eight weeks out, and I should have plenty on hand, at that point.

I'm still new to the brass game and you probably stated it in the post, but will these fit the PGP?

Yes, these are primarily for the PGP. When I get the rest done, I'll have some that will directly fit the longer PMI-1/PMI-2 and others.

I got a few in hand and they are very nice quality. I can confirm The Doc knobs do not fit in palmers collars, But you could use a Doc collar to replace a broken palmers one, Because the palmers knob works in the dock collar.

Great product Doc hope the others eventually turn up.

If you missed out, no worries- I got an at least encouraging call from the anodizer, and even if that falls through, I can have more knobs made before too long. Either way, these are NOT the last of them.

Also, I found out that a Doc knob will work in a PGP 2k with an 8 gram Co2, but 8 grams have a slightly larger neck, so the valve would need light drilling, but it's perfect length

I was wondering about the 2K, I haven't had one in the shop in a while and don't have the measurements. I can sure shorten one to fit!

On a positive note, heard back from the anodizer, and they found them. Apparently the issue was that, after they reworked them, and were boxing them up, they found a number still needed to be re-reworked, and so they went back to the plating floor. And a minor paperwork snafu caused them to kind of get set aside, 'til somebody lit the proverbial fire.

I'm told they are prioritizing them, and they should be in the mail to me Monday or Tuesday. They were quite apologetic.

That is a big load off my mind, for a number of reasons, so while I can't say I'm exactly happy, I'm at least pretty relieved.
