2K Angel LCD w/charger and boomstick

This is my brother's old LCD that has been in a box for the better part of 20 years. Very nice gun, turns on and does shoot/cycle but there is a very small leak from the valve area. I don't know much about these and haven't taken it apart to investigate. Not sure about value, he's just trying to get some diaper money out of it. Asking $300

Very interested but also nervous about that leak. Are you able to unscrew the battery end cap to check for corrosion/ pitting? Feel free to PM me.

Throw the battery away as its dead anyway (yes its allowing gun to fire, but no way it will maintain usable level of charge 20 years later) and if it leaks will destroy everything it touches. Price wise good luck $300 tends to be already 9v converted and known fully working. How clean this one is may make up a bit of that, but at same time its the basic black model and not a CC so who knows.

Little more info for you. The small leak you mention from the valve, assuming you mean the valve and not solenoid, can be a few things. If it was the actual valve the leak would have to be caused by the front o-ring or the cupseal. If that is the case the actual air would leak up to the breach and down the barrel. Open the breach and feel/listen for air coming up through the hole in the body that would feed the bolt while playing. If leak is there it is one of those two things. Maybe leak is coming out where the vASA meets the body in which case there are a few o-rings there no big deal and may just need oil as sure to have dried out over 20 years. If its coming more towards rear of the gun the ram maybe leaking. Good news is LCD rams are rebuildable, but can take some effort to get apart without causing damage. LPR would be next suspect, if leak is in front of gun but was not the vASA seals. Few orings on the LPR body, but if its internal seal your better off replacing the LPR as was not meant to be rebuildable. Solenoid would be last suspect as there damn near bullet proof, but if it is the problem the good news is you can still get them new.

They are not really as complicated to work on as WDP made them seem with the custom tool kits and things they sold back in the day. Do not need any of that. Find a video on youtube showing the break down and go for it.

Would you be interested in selling the boomstick separately?

If you decide to buy it for yourself get on Facebook and go to the angel owners group. There are reputable people that can restore it for you. It has good value in being all original and in good shape even if it’s a base model.
