    WTT - Automag

    SOLD

I received this automag in a trade with a user on here that I am now realizing I probably won't get to. Looking trade for a more modern entry level marker (axe, mini, eteks) to have on hand for new players I bring to the field. I will include a new macro line kit as well. Feel free to DM me with any questions. Update: rebuilt and leak free. Also changed gtek to etek, didn't mean to ask for higher end stuff.

I don’t have anything to trade. But if you decide to sell, send me a price.

I should have listed that from the start so commenting here for visibility: looking for $250 OBO but would be considering trades first.

It was in working condition according to the user. I can hook up the macro kit and take a dry fire video tonight but don't have any paint or own a chrono.

Unfortunately there does appear to be a leak. Not sure if it's major or not but I can investigate further tonight. I have a video of the leak with the last of my remaining air. Hopefully a easy fix for someone that knows what they're doing.

If you pull and maintain the trigger, does the leak stop?
If yes, it's the power tube oring

It didn't stop when pulling the trigger, it did appear to come down the barrel.

I guess I'm not sure about maintaining it held down, I was just pulling the trigger until I ran out of air. I'll try to post the video soon. Is there a go to method for posting videos on here?

Some pictures of the valve for more clarity. Everything looks well oiled and in decent shape to my untrained eye.

Care to fill a mag rookie in on what that is? Good? Bad?

Standard automag valve back end only has 1 hole, where yours has 8. Some claimed the 8 hole mode provided better air flow, some say just marketing gimmick and provides no benefit.

Ah I now see why it's called the 8 hole mod

Powertube brass end piece looks like it is not fully tightened. That could be the source of your leak. Also O-rings looks fairly aged, valve would benefit from a rebuild.

I appreciate that feedback. I'll look into getting a rebuild kit to either include or install. Thanks!

Not finding a rebuild kit in stock from a quick googling. Willing to throw in cash for the right trade and definitely OBO in the cash with the current state.

You see what is happening here… You WILL conform to love the automag the more you tinker with it… These guys have tricked you. Guillaim Barres Syndrome at its finest.

Haha I actually owned one in high school for a hot second but never fielded it so it sticking with me is very possible. I even bought a toaster oven at goodwill to try to powder coat it myself but there just don't seem to be enough hours in the day anymore.

Anything else worth buying on AGD website to mod a standard automag? Besides the rebuild kit.

I like to grab R/T on/off pistons, Level 10 bolts, and an new reg piston in addition to the rebuild kit on classic mags. The shoot mean as hell after all that.
