The one and only pneumek for sale (Gmek with pneumatic trigger)

This is a Gmek with a pneumatic trigger mod. Comes with the case, parts kit, hex wrench set, and PE grease. The tip of the barrel has some excessive wear (see last picture), but otherwise the marker looks great and shoots perfectly.

    $400 OBO shipped.

    Sold on eBay for $350.

I made this a few years ago, one of those "this is completely unnecessary but I want to see if I can do it" projects. Since then I've mostly been using it as a loaner. But...the trigger is so short and light that whenever I loan it to some newb they inevitably touch the trigger accidentally and shoot paint into a barrel cover or their own foot. Sigh. So, I think it's better if I sell it and replace it with an Emek or something "safer" for new players.

As I said, the trigger is very light and short. I have a Deadly Wind hAir valve in my M170R, and the trigger pull on this pneumek is very similar. You can now get Deadly Wind valves for the Gmek, so this is definitely redundant, but it's also way more fun to take off the grips and say "oooh" and "awww at all the stuff crammed inside.

    Here's what I did.
    1. Drilled/tapped the bottom of the Gmek 3-way valve for an air hose. This had to be positioned just right to avoid ruining the sealing parts inside, but there was room enough for an M3 air fitting.
    2. The air hose from the 3-way leads to a Clippard MAR-1P low pressure regulator.
    3. The hose from the Clippard LPR goes to a MAC-33 valve. I had to mill out the inside of the frame slightly to get this to fit.
    4. The slider trigger assembly also had to be modified. The slider plate is aligned with two brass screws. The second screw was in the way of an air hose, so I had to relocate it.
    5. I made a new air fitting for the front of the Gmek three-way assembly. There is no ram to push the spool. The spool already has a bunch of seals and chambers inside. So, I cut down the front part of the spool that sticks out, and I fed the LPR air directly into that front part. That turns the spool itself into a ram, essentially. When the LP air goes in, the spool moves back and fires the gun. When the trigger is released, the MAC-33 vents the LP air and the spool moves back to reset everything.
Let me know if you have any questions.

I don't have any video from making the frame, no. I could take a more detailed video about how the parts are arranged, but I don't think it can be reproduced now that MAC-33s are impossible to find.

Best I can do right now is this close up of the trigger in action. Not too exciting.

Yo dawg, we heard you like pneumatic activation, so we put a pneumatic activation mechanism on your pneumatic activation mechanism!

              Wholly unnecessary but utterly brilliant.

Too bad I dropped $400 on an Etek quite literally 10 minutes before seeing this post.

                LoL.

Most paintball guns have an HPR or an LPR. You have to choose one or the other. Is it really too much to ask for both?

I was just reminded that trades are a thing, so....

My reason for selling this is to replace it with another mech to use as a loaner. Something that's simpler. So, I would consider trading for a nice mech like and Emek or a CVO or maybe a Resurrection?
