    Tippmann F/A frame....

I have been literally passing around a dirty big heavy ziplock to what I thought was a pro light frame for years had to steal the bag for something and found this. Who knew!

I don't have an fa nor do I plan to buy one so this is great for somebody looking to do a restoration or who needs parts. The trigger and sear are there and it is also marked for the safe semi and full that a factory fa I would have.

    Gone!

Nice part but all my guns have trigger frames.

Would... this enable a prolite to be converted to fire FA?

It should allow the hammer to run in full auto however if it was that easy Tippmann never would have made the fa. Without the shock absorbers to slow the hammer down you’ll not be able to feed it fast enough.

Almost definitely not, at least not in a way that was usable. Chances are the Prolite would cycle far too fast to feed a ball.

Years back I had formed a wedge that would keep the sear unlocked from the time the trigger to pulled to letting go, The cycle rate was too fast for even a halo. im not sure if a Q could work but that would be the next thing id try.

    Picture this idea........

You know the Tippmann end cap on the pro-lite ?

Imagine you got a machinist to fashion an upper receiver extension , with a male threaded end that would thread onto the original pro-lite or pro-carbine, and then this extension would have typical tippmann female end cap threads and the original end cap would thread back into that.

Next, the machinist would make a new Tippmann Hammer, with the same sear catching cuts on the bottom, but it would instead have 2 or 3 times the mass of the original stock hammer. The hammer would have to be longer to increase it's mass, thus the need for a receiver extension.

If you increase the mass of the rear hammer, you slow down the rate of the full auto.cycling.

Think of the WW2 grease gun, and how large and heavy that bolt is on that !!

    Thoughts?
