Any idea where #9 came from or who printed it? I really need that piece for my dropout valve.

Im pretty sure I seen that on an open source page for print files. I bet someone here can make you one. Post up in the 3D printing page. You can also file the stock one a lil bit to fit nicer. You just match the same round curve as the feed block on the cap.

I bought it here as part of a lot, I'll look at my old messages and try and figure out who it was. I'll let them know you are interested and maybe they'll contact you.

Is it possible to remove the barrels that are already glued?

It is possible with the ones I glued but may not be possible with any someone else glued I have not tried, possible not guaranteed. Which barrels are you interested in I know which ones I handle and which ones I did not.

Just to be clear those barrels are all Phantom threaded and can be removed. Since these Dye UL barrels were made specifically for Phantoms the barrel fronts can not be threaded into the barrel back due to the back needing to be a small enough diameter to fit a Phantom pump handle. To be useable the front and the back need to be glued together to function. Most of the barrels are NOS and have never been glued up there are couple that I got 2nd hand that were already glued and I glued up the ones I had bored for Standard Freak inserts.

I’m interested in #23. Just so I’m not being paranoid. My phantom is black and silver acid wash correct?

Yup that looks like Black/Silver wash the Dye barrel should match fairly well because it was sent to the same anodizer that did your marker. I will go ahead and mark #23 Pending while we work out some communication and settle on pricing/shipping. Looks like you have an ICD Lever Changer setup side saddle on your valve. I have the same setup on my Duckslide nice and compact and easy to use with a little practice.

Curious given your moniker you wouldn't have happen to be a Submariner?

              #10
Yes sir. Love the side saddle set up. Dumb question, if I can’t take the barrel apart due to the glue, can it still be bored? Also, I’m assuming the barrel is aluminum, not stainless?
I’m a submariner for another 6ish months before I retire

Welcome fellow bubblehead, I was a Nuke ET from 1984 - 1995 have many fond memories being on boats. I spent most of my time on SSBN 645 (James K. Polk) doing deterrent patrols and Shipyard (PNSY) overhauls. I got of the Jimmy K just before she became a Seal Deployment boat in the 90s and did a stint teaching ETMS at SUBTRAFAC Charleston. Well be safe and don't do anything stupid before EOS

Yes the barrels (all of them) are aluminum. I've seen aluminum and brass barrels for Phantoms can't say I saw any Stainless Steel barrels made for Phantoms but they could be out there.

So it can be bored as a whole barrel BMC is capable but it is easier if you just send him the back. That barrel happens to be one I glued up for someone here who was going to buy it but backed out. So I actually can undo the glue up because the epoxy I used breaks down in acetone. So I can take it apart for you, it takes a couple of days soaking for the acetone to penetrate far enough. Acetone does not affect the anodization.

That’s awesome if you can separate it for me. I already looking at sending it to BMC so he can bore it.

I’ve spent most of my career out of Hawaii. Two 688s and a VA class. I’m going to miss the clowns but not the circus. 😂
