paypal owns venmo and has goods and services option.

Sadly, not a good enough reason for me to open a new Venmo account. They may have the same ownership, but I actively had issues due to a data breach with Venmo in less than 3 years of using it, leading to other accounts of mine attempting to be breached. But I haven't had a single issue with PayPal in 20+ years.
