RTR Gargoyle

Have a rare bird I'm looking to sell or trade. Gargoyle number 30 with an RTR demon tail stock, gloss black, but almost matte black in the bucket changer, pump kit, and feed gate recesses. there's a couple small scratches where the removable breach friction fits in with the body.

Could definitely use a tuning, I'm only getting 20-25 shots with her right now, but I'm not great at balancing springs. Pretty much been a wall hanger since I got it

Kinda hard to gauge price point, so 1450 pp/shipped within the US, Price is OBO

Would also consider trades plus cash, but I would need at-least a 1000 in cash.

There were only 4 of those demon tail stocks made if my memory serves me correctly.. I would have to dig back into emails from years past as I was going to purchase 2 .. none were the same.. I wanted them for the Dragon Pumps I had put together.. I just picked up an elbow for the flatline side feed i had just finished .pretty marker

I believe it was in 2017 when I was chatting with Rodney over these. And i believe they were like 70.. i cannot remember why i did not buy them..

There are definitely more then 4, I have two I know of at least 3 others + this one. I have one on my wacky VM build. Some are more usable than others. They are a bit heavy compared to their aluminum counterparts. But +10 cool points because there isn’t anything like them. They make cool collectible pieces. The RTR under-cocking kits now those are rare. I think 5 total I have a gloss black and dust black to Mach my Gargoyles.

I believe the photo you are referring to was definitely pre MCB reset. That’s why you likely won’t find it. A lot of the older photos got eaten up by the PhotoBucket money grab at the end of its usefulness as memory got cheaper and websites started offering their own image hosting. I remember it. They were all posted together before being sold to customers.

That being said I have shouldered this Gargoyle tail and it’s a great length feels very close to the Phantom L stock length my personal favorite. I’m pretty sure the guide rods just need some adjustment on this to get it shootin money. There are also slide trigger adjustments that can move its trip point over time. It requires you to remove the side plates to adjust. But you can really dial these things in like no other Nelson. I adjust to the feel I want then measure with calipers then lock tight everything in place. If I didn’t already have two in my collection I would have already bought this. I’m extremely surprised this is still available. I wouldn’t let go of mine for his asking. They are just too cool.
