Offering my Airowgun as a sacrifice to satiate the gods and bring this pandemic to an end. Details below, and please read carefully before PMing.
Bought this last October. It came to me attached to a Parker Wildfire XP bow, with the box and accessories as seen below.
However, this draw length was FAR too long for my short arms, and parts are not made for this bow any more. So I went and bought a brand new Mission Hammr to mount this to. The Hammr allows you to adjust draw length without the need for a bow press. While doing so I discovered that the arrow shaft was slightly bent, and therefore was rubbing slightly on the inside of the casing. I shot it a few times in the back yard and decided it needed some upgrades. I bought the Spring and Piston upgrades from a guy on eBay and installed them. I also bought a replacement arrow shaft to mount, but have not done so because the shafts are cut for each bow due to different lengths of limbs. I will be sending this along in the package so that you can set it up to your specific needs. There are tutorials on Youtube that I can link to you on setup.
After installing the piston/spring upgrades and using a 18" Lapco .684 barrel, I was able to chrono this at 265-280FPS with 685 paint. 27inch draw at 55 pounds. FPS should go up with more poundage on the limbs, but at 55 it makes it way easier to draw time after time. The upgrades make a HUGE difference, as does getting away from the giant bore stock barrel. I also shot first strikes through a Lapco FSR barrel with Hush tip, and saw similar results. FSR are VERY accurate with this setup and I can consistently hit a man sized target at 80 yards.
Here is the HHA sight that I bought and then modified for this bow. It works on a cantilever system for rapid and large adjustments, similar to the HHA optimizers that some use on FSR rifles. In order to get this to work with masks, you don't look through a peep hole at the pin. You line the HHA pin up to a second pin on the barrel, and then put that on your target. It is extremely effective in practice, and you can then "dial" the bow in to your draw length/weight as well as barrel and paint.
Sight pins
Sight pins aligned (mostly, camera angles are hard)
You can see that the chamber is mounted as tight as possible to the bow in order to align the center of the chamber with the center of the bow string. Alignment isn't perfect, but it does the job.
There is slight wear on the cams from when it was placed on a rough surface and then bumped by a friend. There is only paint damage and does not effect performance. The friend was subsequently tarred and feathered for his crime.
The brass chamber screw helps to keep all air in the system, but the head snapped off. It works, but I will likely file a small flathead slot into the top to make it easier to remove (not that you should ever need to). You can also see the screw for the feed tube, which is provided, but not mounted as I was hand loading first strikes.
Spot Hogg Whipper Snapper - Super effective and well made release. Allows you to clip back to the bow and disengage your hand for reloading.
