TASO BE-90, aka USA Crossfire's "Equalizer"

    SOLD SOLD SOLD

For sale my dual 12 gram, break barrel spring fed, 68 caliber, TASO BE-90, aka USA Crossfire's "Equalizer". From the late 1980s, serial number 90-00098. This comes with the original owners 'manual' and bore cleaner. This has been in my collection for over 30 years, and it's been on display for that long. If you want to get it shooting you will have to change whatever seals/o-rings this has. They have certainly deteriorated over these decades.

Thanks to Vintage Rex for the following information:
The real truth about TASO's BE-90 may never be known, but here is what we do know:
In December of 1987, a futuristic looking paintball gun, labeled "The gun everybody's been waiting for..." graced the cover of APG. It wasn't the BE-90, but a gun called the "Equalizer", by USA Crossfire. The Equalizer was currently being marketed and pushed at different venues using a "look but don't touch" method.
The gun was a double-action semi-automatic, utilizing two 12 gram CO2 cartridges, and having a built-in, spring powered 20 round magazine. This gun quickly disappeared and no one heard of it again. In 1990 a new gun called the BE-90 or "Edge" appeared on the scene. It looked like the Equalizer, had the same features of the Equalizer... It was the same gun. After a few brief appearances, the BE-90 also vanished from sight.

Be careful if you try to actually use it, the little flailing arms inside that make it work can get jammed up, and it’s important you don’t try to pull the trigger harder

Arrived yesterday. Being weak willed, I had to try it out. Read the provided manual. I fixed the spring feed. Oiled the piercers, and it aired up fine. Shoots fast. It's a double action marker. Does not re cock on its own, but hell, it hasn't been fired in 30 years. I'll look into the re cock issue later.
