Very clean early PMI trracer
Lonestar grip in very good condition with working door and lock
12g dropout changer

No serial number (anyone know if many of them where sold without serial?)
brass valve body with plastic dropout body?
Rear knob is aluminum

Bough it for a project but it's too clean and perfect to mess with it.

That’s the nicest Trracer I’ve seen here in forever, and with factory 12g.

I just noticed this has no serial. It should be on the left side just above the trigger.

Yes I notice the same thing. My other trracer all have a serial marked above the trigger. But this one does not have anything.
Anyone know some 8nfo on this? First run?

My only guess is that it’s very early. I don’t think they made them with 12gs past the earliest batches. It has the early style power tube and the screws aren’t slotted. Everything about it is “early” but even my Trracer had a number, I think mine is 001883.

This gun is very fairly priced. You’re basically getting the Lonestar for free.

What is so great about the lone star grips? Why is everyone nuts for them?

Being from Canada there is no market for those here, but in the US they seem to sell well at gun show and ebay where they can reach $100+ per grip.
From what I understand people want them for their AR for a retro look.

Yeah I've sold a few for $75 each on eBay.... And traded three at a gun show for a skeet shotgun lol

It's worth noting that the grips with a hole for the safety spring/detent in the top are more valued than the paintball grips that lacked this.
