          Awesome. Does it have wedgits or the Palmers bead detent thing? If not, do you happen to know the bore size?

              No pressed in wedgits but it does have the ball detent. 690 bore.

                          Why does it have a Speed Demon bolt, and not the usual Palmers setup?

                              Not sure because I got it this way. Others have speculated because it doesn't have the wedgits it was a very early production. Good chance Palmers was sourcing much of the parts.

                                  I would think it was a later production model. The ball detent was more recent than the hammered wedgits. Palmers always said it was possible to add hammered wedgits, but it would probably mess up the nickel plate finish.

                                      Not sure how Palmers kept track of production numbers but this one is a low number.

                                          PS14 means it was the 14th "palmer stock gun" earlier versions all had pps as the serial number start.

                                          Later Palmer's separated what they were.... H - hurricane HT hounds tooth ect
