I braid these by hand and figured a few people here might appreciate one.
For anyone who has not run into one: a Balearic sling is the old shepherd's sling, the thing that predates the bow. Stone goes in the cradle, one smooth swing overhead, let go of one cord. It is a genuinely satisfying skill to learn and the ammunition is free and lying on the ground.
This one is red and black, 55 inches measured finger loop to release knot.
What is in it:
Happy to answer questions about the build.

What is in it:
- Four-strand round braid in red and black 550 paracord.
- Two finger loops instead of one, so it will not shake off your hand mid-swing.
- Open-frame cradle about 5 inches long: a flat-braided red bar with reflective black cord laced across an open center.
- Dyneema popper on the release cord. Almost no stretch and it stays lively, so you get an audible crack when the release is clean. That crack is the fastest feedback there is for learning the timing. Nylon poppers go soft and fuzz out after a while; this one holds its snap.
