    WTB: 2009 Proto SLG Sear

***UPDATED 2021-03-25: No longer required. I ended up returning the 2009 SLG to the eBay seller, who graciously accepted the return. In fairness, I should state that I was mistaken about the sear. Once removed from the 2009, it did not in fact match the sear from my 2010, though they looked very similar installed. I acquired a repair kit with several sears but none corrected the problem, and the sear already in the marker was of the longer type. The mismatch must be on the solenoid/grip frame end. Either the solenoid had been replaced with one that has a too narrow plunger, or the grip frame must have been replaced with one that positions the solenoid too far towards the rear. The only other possibility I could think of is that the hole for the sear pin might have been drilled in the wrong place. I suppose I'll never know for sure now. ***

I'm looking specifically for a sear for a 2009 Proto SLG. The SLG was only produced 2008-2010. The 2008 and 2010 models share a sear, but the 2009 used a slightly longer one. No one seems to have these in stock anymore and I've spoken with DYE and they do not have any either. I'm happy to pay up to $15 plus actual postage costs for the correct sear.

Added: I would also be open to buying a 2009 solenoid. From the pictures I've found online, at least some of those had a much larger piston surface, which might solve my problem without replacing the sear.

I got this 2009 Proto SLG off eBay that the seller said hadn't been tested in a year. What he failed to mention (as it was supposedly his buddy's gun) is that it definitely did not work. I know this because it has a 2008/2010 sear in it, which in a 2009 SLG is too short for the solenoid to trip the sear. This gun could not possibly have worked. The solenoid piston completely misses the sear. I already have a 2010 SLG, so it was easy to compare the sears and see they match, even though they shouldn't.
