Who was making those detent rings?

Hey, looking more for a username than to purchase. Someone was printing detent rings that worked great and I can’t find their thread.

I bought a half dozen each of every type I could use from him last time. IMHO, %99.9 of what comes out of the world’s 3D printers is useless garbage but Freedummy’s wedgits are one of the %0.01...and not just because of file they were made from. Anyone can print a similar item but not one that will hold up to thousands of shots like his will.

Last I talked to him he was out of cocker, here's the text:

Phantom, Trracer, Spyder/Sterling and VM68 still available at the moment for $3 a pair, $3 shipping/fees.

He's working on v2, but doesn't have a timeline. I had a buddy print a few cocker ones based off of freedummy's design and they're functional, but not quite as perfect.

Agreed, these things are awesome. I guess I’ll have to take care of my last one until more become available I always damage them trying to move them gun to gun, but I’ve never worn one out.

Not to talk bad of one of our good members, but I wasn’t impressed with the Phantom & Mav/Trracer ones. Broke fins in each one in the first days I played with them. Just providing my feedback...

The cocker ones have been great in my sniper though.

I had pretty good luck with the phantom ones once I got it in, but I mangled two of them with the barrel in the process. Mine was just user error, and I’m not sure there’s a ton that could be done about it.

If installed correctly there won’t be a problem. I’ve used the Phantom one the most of all, at least two cases have gone though the same insert.

I haven’t had any issues with the Trracer ones but I’ve shot that gun much less than my Phantoms. There are two different barrel/body combos from the life of the Trracer and I have barrel that doesn’t match by body (bottoms out before it’s sitting right, new style barrel on old style Trracer) but as long as you don’t over tighten it it should be fine.

The only one I’ve actually ruined is a Phantom one and it was during installation. I’m tempted to think yours was the same...

It's not shittalking if you're providing feedback, Devon always asks for thorough reports. I've had decent success with the Phantom ones, mixed with the Trracer/Spyder/Sterling ones, and great performance with the shoebox/cocker ones.

I thinks PPS makes something similar.

Anyone have a picture of what these look like? I could use a good solution for a Nova barrel, but not sure such a device exist. The nova barrel not being threaded and the fact that it moves in and out when firing makes me think however these fit would not work.

They look very similar to the PPS ones posted above.

Thanks. I figured that was the case, but was hoping they were somehow a unique design that could hold on and work on a non-stationary barrel.

For a non stationary barrel it seems like a couple nail polish stripes would be ideal.
