    Apocalypse Dual Feed

Pretty sure this was covered by someone else at one point....but I really would like to pick up another dual feed. I absolutely love this setup for my phantom and would like to set another up similarly (no springpheed necessary)

I have the rock back with the top feed (not sure what it was called) that I can trade + cash for a dual setup.

Last I checked you could still get the printed pieces but you would have to source your own Feed tubes and notch your own for the spring and guide.

      Thanks, Chuck.

All I need are the printed pieces I run mine with a 15 rnd CCI feed tube.

It’s a great setup and an awesome idea. I wish I had bought a few more.

Hopefully he releases the file or someone on the forum decides to be generous!

Not used to the new forum yet. I see Chuck E Ducky's reply in your post, but I don't know how to reply to him. I'm hoping to get the phone and email for Apocalypse since the website is down.

The website is down now. I wonder how expensive an all aluminum feed designed the same or in similar way could get. I really like his gate design it feeds really well and is super simple. Or I wonder if he would sell the print files I could get them printed easily.

Id be down to print some too.
            Could we reverse engineer it?
I tried to contact him (email) after he stopped making them and never got a response.

I had reached out to him via email last month begging for sympathy after my Apoc dual pheed broke.

I let him know that the one I had just gotten was cracked after playing a couple games He printed and sent me the replacement part for my broken feed (I did pay him for the parts)

That was about a month ago. I think I got lucky.

I'm glad you got the part you needed.

I offered to buy the 3D printed parts from him and make my own feed tube, so he only had to print and ship. Maybe he just lost the interest in making them.

If we can get files or make our own, I'd ball all for making a few ...

We could simply reverse engineer it I have a friend that could design something similar and produce a quality durable print. However I want to insure he has no interest in making more. I don’t feel comfortable making one exactly the same without his permission and or some kind of compensation for his work. It’s an awesome design I may attempt to make one out of all aluminum if I can snag some cheap material. It would be cool if you could Ano one to match a custom setup.

I've been working up a cad model for an aluminum one but prototyping wouldn't be cheap and my backlog of projects is already beyond ridiculous. It doesn't seem like Apoc is interested in keeping the design in production - especially not the aluminum parts... it's a massive void that needs filling.

I agree I just don’t want to rip off his design but it really is superior to what’s out there. I think an all aluminum version of his would be amazing!

Another option is to see if he would sell the design and we could just outsource the print if he has no interest in making them anymore. The demand is there you see people looking for them all over the place. It would keep the current ones going and allow others to build there own. I think the issue he ran into was getting the material for the tubes. So that may throw a wrench in the idea all together. But looking at McMaster Carr you can get just about anything if you are willing to pay for it.

An all aluminum one would solve a lot of durability issues. But I would have to figure an easy way to manually make one the old school way. Because CNC is expensive and beyond what I can do in my garage. Hardest part would be keeping the cost down with an all aluminum one.

Maybe Benji at PB DNA would be interested in taking over production of the printed parts.

I would chip in for that. The only issue I had with mine is no option for running a pull-through squeegee from the breach, down the barrel. On bad paint days I switch to an SL68-II so I can squeegee easily.

Will also have a carbon fiber front tube option.
