WTB Olive Green JT Spectra (a/k/a OG Proshield)

I love the old Spectra masks and currently play with a black pair of them (one of which I've had since 98). For some reason the look of the classic Spectra/Proshield in OD green has always appealed to me. So if someone is looking to dust one off and be rid of it, I'm looking to buy. I don't care about whether it has a chin strap or not and am not concerned with the condition of the goggle strap. If you want to keep the strap and sell it to some crazy collector, go right ahead. Definitely needs to have a OD green frame, lower, and visor. Ears very much preferred but not an absolute must. Usable foam a bonus but not strictly necessary. Price variable with condition and completeness.

    EDIT: Found and acquired. Thanks.

I think I have one kicking around, it's been well used, but still has some life left. Let me see if I can find it and you can have it for cost of shipping.

Oh well. Thanks for looking anyway. I bought one off BrickHaus that should be arriving today. I'll just keep my eyes peeled for another to come along. My buddy and I both wear our old school Spectras and we've recently gotten his nephew into playing. If I can find more like ours I may build one for the kid so he can look just like his uncle on the field.

Spectra is the way. I just love the comfort of the jtjtjtjtjtjt foam on thin frames. Nothing else has been quite as comfortable. I have two builds that are nearly identical, with more modern "3.0" rubbery ears on them. One with clear lens, one with tinted. Because it makes more sense to have different masks for lenses instead of swapping them out!

I also run two near-identical builds, the difference being only that the newer one has a chin strap. Both have clear lenses. I swap them between games just to let the foam dry to reduce fogging. I usually have a little battery powered fan blowing on the one that I leave in the staging area. I've considered installing a different lens in one of them so I could adapt as light conditions change. Swapping lenses around is of course not really a thing with old JT frames.

I still use the old hard ears because I like how they provide at least some coverage above the goggle strap. I'd rather not take a hit to the crown of the head from the side. Of course, it would be more consistent if I were to get a newer, taller visor, as I use the flatter, longer rubbery 1st gen visors too.

Viking You should try the HD fades it’s an HD lens that’s tinted at the top. No need for a visor or to swap lens. Nose down it’s tinted nose up you can see in low light really well. The HD color really makes the paint easy to see regardless of color shell to.

Sent you a PM with questions but that's pretty cool. Haven't been able to find anything on HD fade lenses yet

I got it at ION in the vendor section they had a bunch I guess I should have snagged them all. Seeing they are $80 on eBay and sold out everywhere.

I have one still in the sealed bubble pack. Was asking 80 for members with no bites. Id take a reasonable offer on it, but Ive also started using my old OD spectras, so it wouldnt hurt as a back up. Shoot me a pm if ya want pics, and details.

Thanks. Arrived yesterday and is absolutely perfect. A little double-sided tape will fix that ear foam.

I used goop 2.0 clear adhesive on my daily driver. (Had a tube left from gluing a single din face plate to my motorcycle) 2 sided tape will work too!

Thanks, but just not my thing. Bet it looks cool though. Most of those I have seen are just black and grey.

Thanks for the offers everyone. BrickHaus came through with a NOS Proshield still in the original package. I was almost hesitant to cut open the packaging. Almost. It's perfect. Click image for larger version

Old spectras are the best. Like them better than Flex's
