Have you tried contacting Forest Hatcher?

I have checked with them, unfortunately there aren't any left. If I had one to compare it to, I could make one from a regular Mag, a file, and a cordless drill, once I unpack.

So pardon my ignorance, but I thought micro mags either took a stock mm pin, or a threaded rt pin.

I dont know much about micros, and I just got myself a gen 2 for the first time, but it takes the standard mm pin fine.

im assuming you do, but are you sure you need a tapered one?

I am not sure what you mean by a tappered pin.

There are 3 styles that PTP used.

1: am/mm sear held with winged frames.
2: similar to the am/mm sear pin with the ende that was threaded.
3: the style that is similar to the rt sear pin but is a different thread.

It's not threaded, but a standard pin won't go in far enough. It will only go through the left side, but not the right.

are you sure the right side is not threaded?

I was pretty sure. It's out for anno right now, so I can't look.

You should be able to use a standard RT threaded pin if you run a 1/4-20 tap through the threaded side. Unless it is the fat automag size with the threaded end. I have one of those too

The micromag you have uses the standard am/mm sear pin. It only fits in from one side, does not fit the other side on purpose. That way they pin is held in place by wing frames. If you use a flat top frame you can use some wax to keep in place. That's what most have used that way it can be taken out if needed.

I have been relying on the surface tension of the sear to keep the sear pin captured. Seems it would take laying it on its side and tapping it out. To get it free, but wax is a good idea.
