    68 Automag rebuild kit

    Hi all,

    Just grabbed an old mag that has been sitting in my folks' basement for a few years. I reckon a full rebuild would be the prudent thing to do, but it seems AGD is out of stock. Anyone have a parts kit kicking around they don't want or need?

      I noticed they were out of complete parts kits recently, but i was able to purcgase the individual o-rings from them to make my own kit (3 times)
      Might be worth looking into..

              I found the power tube oring need to be urethane 010 oring, this one seem to be all buna so it wont last as long and will be more tricky to find the proper spacer
              This kit does not show urethane oring...

              I was waiting months for AGD to have rebuild kits back in stock. I ended up just buying a 10 pack from Oring-Online (From eBay). I have rebuilt about 6 mags with the kit and everything works fine except the o-ring in the powertube is pretty tight. After rebuilding I dump a bunch of oil in the ASA and then dry fire it with the barrel off. The bolt will stick forward and I'll reset it with a squeegee. I do this about 25 times or so and it is fine from there. I think the o-ring just needs to break in.

              I can bring a rebuild kit for you to Slim's. That will get you by until AGD gets some decent kits back in stock. Just let me know.

                  Hey that would be great man, I'm not in any sort of rush since the odds of me shooting semi before then are... slim.

                    Cool. I'll bring down a kit. Just remind me when I am there. I have made too many deals to meet up with people at Slim's, lol. I am doing my best to keep everything straight!

                    I would absolutely not use buna in a mag for anything other than the barrel and the one to seal the valve halves.

                        I agree, mag run much better with urethane orings, at a bare minimum for the power tube 010 oring
