    WTB Carter L stock

Looking for a Carter L stock, preferably the thicker older styled ones.

    Thanks!

You could probably commission Doc to make some. Those stocks are hard to find. I had to buy a complete marker to get mine. But Doc made me a real nice one for another build.

Yeah I saw them on his website as out of stock. I remember emailing his site long ago but never got any replies. Is there a better way to contact him? Thank you!

You can message him here as well. I had issues emailing him as well. Something is funky with his email it’s odd because sometimes they go threw sometimes they do not. His email address is a bit weird to G mail don’t even recognize it as an actual email address. I would just shoot him a PM. He cut Carter style Speed holes in mine for a lil extra and it came out very nice.

I sent him a message on the same topic yesterday, I will post here if he sends me a reply. Carter speed holes would be awesome, didn't even think to ask that.

I payed a lil extra for the machine work but I really like how it came out. It Lightens up the stock too a bit. I have a sold one and one like this. I bet you can stir up enough interest for him to do a run of them. Few people been asking/looking for them it’s not the first time I seen people post about this style stock. I got plans for this one and my solid one is on my gargoyle. They shoulder really nice.

Yup speed holes. But I could take either configuration and raw without anno if that was easier as well

I'd buy 2 or even 3 if it made the run seem worth it. I'm curious at what angle he cuts them at. I typically put my pretty angled down but have been using a few rare power angles to get them in decent spots

I can post a comparison photo when I get home. It’s a nice angle I think similar to a CCI stock because I don’t really notice a difference in the angle between the two when playing. Might be a bit longer but not by much I’m sure he could make it whatever length you wanted.

Thanks everyone for the replies! I did send an email and will let you know if I hear anything from him.

These are definitely more from a functional stand point. I do currently have a carter L stock and find them the most comfortable, especially the thicker ones like this. Csrer made some thinner and shorter ones and i dont like those quite as much.

I'd definitely look into getting one machined more and ad solid. Hopefully we could get a decent order going

haha nah only 6 feet even. I just prefer to have my eye right at the top of the tube when I shoulder the stock without having to crane my neck down or bring the gun up too high. Kind of why I prefer L-stocks. Some T-stocks have a tighter radius so that the stock sits in a consistent location which is good but then you have to move your head to meet the gun. L-stocks you can move up or down or rotate the run right or left without the stock jamming into you. More prevalent with the Carter T stocks that have a tighter radius compared to the CCI ones.

Nothing from Doc. Sent him another message linking to this thread and asking if a run of these could be made. I ended up finding a stock from some random seller on Etsy, that will serve my purposes until I can get one made like Chucks. The angle on that stock is crazy! I'm the complete opposite, I prefer to have it straight/in line so its more like regular rifles. Great looking setup though!

Thanks for the update! I had no idea people sold paintball stuff on etsy haha. I'll reach out again through email and see if I get through.

Yea I need one of these as well for my gecko. It's got that weird Carter angle on it so a phantom stock won't work.

Okay gents, put down the torches and pitchforks.

Sorry I'm not Johnny-on-the-spot at the moment, right now I'm booked hard. Everything from local work, to the last few Vee-Twins, another two anno batches I have to get out this week (they're already overdue) to some shop-maintenance type stuff (i have to put a new stack on the shop heater- the old pipe is rusty and probably leaking CO) to other batch parts I've promised people. My plates, as they say, at the moment are pretty full.

Now, that said, I have a stack of unbent stocks that have been sitting around for... well, the better part of a year now. (Why? See above. That's not a one-time thing. ) I need to set up the sander and burnisher, buzz each one a bit, run it through the bending fixture, and then do whatever milling anyone wants.

It doesn't really take long, but as above, I'm booked solid for at least the next week or two. Best I can say is I'll try very hard to at least get the batch bent and basic-finished before the end of the month. I can make no promises, however, as I've already been doing a little too much overpromising and underdelivering these days.

                  Doc.

Thanks for the reply Doc! No pitchforks or torches here, just a few kids patiently waiting outside the toy store hoping for the "out of stock" sign to come down

Seems like at least 5 would be purchased immediately for your own knowledge if that helps at all.

                      Okay, lemme start a list:

Who wants milled, like in Ducky's pic up there?

                      Who wants black anno?

                      And who wants both?

(Sorry, individual colors are out for the moment. Black or plain.

And, does anyone want a Carter-style tank ring, for the old 10-ouncer, the long skinny 22s or a 13ci?

                      (Also black or plain.)

                      Doc.
