    WTB Piranha Aluminum 45 Frame

    Hey folks!

I’m looking to buy one of the oldschool single-trigger aluminum Piranha 45 frames for a project, anyone got one kicking around? I believe they used to sell these as aftermarket upgrades way back in the day.

I can’t PM for now because I’m still a “Newbie” (not really new, I used to post on the old MCB but that acct obv didn’t make it), but my email is just my username at gmail, so drop me a line in this thread if you’ve got one and we’ll take it over to the email-o-sphere. Hope I’m not breaking any rules here.

    Thanks MCB!

I hope you find one. There was a time I was trying to find one as well.

I had a couple, none of you guys wanted to pay more than the cost of shipping for them back then :P

Truth is, the earlier plastic frames are better in most ways. But I know metal is cool.

Dang, looks like I missed the boat then. No chance you’ve still got one is there? I’d definitely pay more than the cost of shipping haha, rule of cool is essentially how I make at least 3/4 of my paintball-related decisions!

If anyone is interested, I could also trade a plastic E-Force frame for one. It’s got the 3 round burst and full auto settings for maximum dumb fun. It could probably use some new grips as the ones on it are scratched and starting to show their wear, but it cycles fine. Just thought I’d throw that out there if anyone would want to go that route!

Hmm...what color is the anno? I was hoping to find just a standard one but if it doesn’t clash horribly with the marker I could be interested.

It is a black frame with the gold splash anno. I'll get a pic of it for you soon.

Right on, thank you! Black with gold sounds dope actually, I’m def interested. I assume it wouldn’t be that difficult to drop the trigger/spring/safety assembly from an existing Piranha frame right into it?

I’ll have to check my piranha box but I’m pretty sure I sold em off after decided I preferred the plastic frames and don’t need cool points from like the one other piranha guy I meet at a field

I hear ya—the other part of it is that I just prefer the feel of a metal frame in my hands. I also swapped out the plastic frame on my pro/carbine for a metal APP frame, it isn’t really significantly better than the stock frame and only makes an already heavy marker even heavier, but I like the look of it more and it just feels better to use, so I’m trying to do the same thing here.
