...this is all for a $700 pump handle on a $300 gun, right? I’m just trying to be sure I know what we’re talking about....I don’t have a Duskslide but I have a couple of Phantoms and I have to say for the money you can do a lot better. I don’t think that huge pump handle is going to turn a Phantom into a Scout. If I didn’t know better I’d say that scarcity itself is the most high performance feature of a Duckslide.
I do like the feed though. I got one for $45 last year.Comment

Suffice to say that simply a phantom + duckslide is not a $1000 venture, examples for 800+ have more to them, ano, extra parts, custom mill work, frames, etc. I own a phantom already with SC and open class, undercocking, and I bought a $40 3d printed slide designed by a guy who lives 20mins from me, so it's not about performance. The uniqueness and personal character of each that I've seen is amazing.
As for getting a slide new, Steve isn't making duckslides right now, he's not working on the current batch of 50 VKC redux's or anythin right now due to a recent double bypass surgery. He's back at home and you can give him a call to wish him well, but that's a dry river for now.
