Hey folks,

Looking for a New Designz breach for the OG Matrix. My buddy is having double feed issues and being able to use longer detents may mitigate the problems. Prefer black, but will look at other colors.

Force feed hoppers (Rotor, Z2) can easily bypass those detents. I’ve had better luck with Revys.

We have still had issues with gravity loaders, but it’s definitely not as bad

People had this issue as far back as 2005. That’s why you’ll come across some breeches with modded delrin detents. The NDZ Matrix breech uses SFT Shocker (delrin) detents, BTW. In case you don’t find an NDZ breech, and want a machinist to mod it for you.

But depending on how small the paint is, even those may not help much.

Back to the drawing board then I suppose. I have a few ideas and some machinist friends so I'm optimistic. Thanks!

Modding can fix it. But the detent threads have to go further into the breech so the detents sit a couple of mm’s further in. And normally, you’ll have some raw ano surface around the detents, so depending on the Matrix, if it’s a private label, don’t use an original breech. I feel like this goes without saying, but people modded original breeches on Shocktechs and FreeFlows, and other PL’s with custom ano’s before. That’s why I feel like I should say something in case anyone else reads this.

I still have a bunch of gen-e blind breeches (black) btw.
