WTB: JT Pro Shield Mask Spectra

I am not a collector. I use the Spectra or JT Pro Shield. I am looking for a parts donor or a replacement for my current set up.

I need the old style visor and the ear pieces most of all.

Theres a few up on ebay, I managed to get a green spectra flex for $100+-. Join the club. I’ve been tempted to buy a bent flex 7 and try the boiling water trick to straighten it out. Hope you find one. It’s not too hard, just keep looking every morning.

I have a couple spectras. In Canada though so shipping is a bit more. I can send some pictures if you like.

I am still looking. I need ear pieces for certain. I also need an old version visor.

                  Warm regards,

                  Smiley

I don't care for the new version as is, but I find they work great with some simple modifications to make them like the old ones.
                    1. Take it completely apart, including removing the strap from the goggles (only way to get the ears off of the new ones). Use a utility knife to cut small notches in the ear strap slots, so future dis-/assemblies are easier. Just push the razor straight down against a hard surface.
                    2. High density foam cut to proper size and superglued in the spots on the inside of the ears like the old ones had.
                    3. Remove the rivets under the strap linking the googles to the ears. They're superfluous in that spot. But hey, you get another set of rivets in case you lose one, which I have.

They don't look quite the same, and the new ears don't go up as high, but they're still my favorite mask for the price.

Is an old style visor the shark fin one? Of the one with slots cut in the sides? Or the floppy one?

I like the floppy one the best but man it’s a pain to remove and reinstall. Trying to get the pins into the holes in the top of the mask frames is like trying to have sex in your mid 30’s
The pin just flops around like a wet noodle.

I used needle nose pliers to hold the pin as close to the barb as possible to push it through. Made it a six pack boner instead of a fifth of whiskey dick.
