Looking for the old macroline gtek. Trying to get a PE gun that can go mech on the cheap. If it comes with gmek frame, awesome. Show me what you got. I don't care about looks, but it needs to function as it should.

If you want to go mechanical for cheap I've seen Emeks for under 200 (195) and 3M's for 295. Unless you want to switch between electronic/mech

I have a black magic cocker, which I love. But I'm playing on a semi-competitive team now. Most tourney's, I can use whatever I like. But we will be playing in some ICPL and NXL tourney's that I have to shoot PE. Since I own WGP and Dye, i wanted good on the cheap, and knock out two with one stone. would love a mech 170R or 180R, but that price is double to triple the GTEK. And reading on the GTEK, they seem like solid shooters and due to macroline, the swap is much easier. (if i'm mistaken on that, educate me!)

I love the OG Gtek, I'm on my second one and they are one of my favorite "new" guns to shoot. Also love the Gmek cause you get the reliability and general ease of use/speed of the Gamma Core, but also a tasty slider frame.

Gmeks are amazing. The slider is wonderful, it's efficient, and it's one of the few newer guns that have some personality.

Pick up a Hair V2. You WON'T be disappointed. And with a Bone GTR trigger shoe, you can actually walk it.

I would do the Emek over them all. I had a gtek and I have owned M170r's too. I just like the Emek platform better than all of them. With the stock body it's rugged and easy to maintain. With the M170R or Gtek you have to worry more about the bodies getting beat up. Throw an Emek in your bag and just let it bump around there until you need it. With the Hair or 3way valve, I think they are a steal at $200 fully upgraded right now (used). But if you are set on switching between electric and mech, I would say the gtek is ok. It would be lower on my list behind the Emek and M170R. But I know the 170R's are still pricey compared to the others, plus adding the second frame it get's up there in price quick.

Gteks also seem to be harder to find these days. I don't know what they are selling for but I think having a good electric and a good mech separately and not having to worry about switching frames would be preferable over maybe swapping them at the field. But I don't really want to have to work on equipment at the field. That's just me. Good luck!

Thank you for the help. I nearly bought that fb deal, it's a great deal. Found a local player on another sponsored team at my field selling a 170R with mech, bought it today. Very happy with it. PE really is doing some great innovations.

I would prefer the 170 but some guys really want an older gtek. Glad you found something

I'm one of those guys. The slider is such a nice addition to the Gmek. That's my biggest reason for preferring them.
