    SMG 60

Hello, I am looking to buy a Tippmann SMG 60 or 68. I would be very happy to buy a format rental or privately owned marker. Please include a price if you have one fo sale. Thank you.

Are the SMG 60's all wall hangers now? Or is there still a source for .60 cal paint?

If you are in the mid atlantic region come to our SMG game in Dillsburg PA. 3/23. We have about 20 SMG60s all running.

You could probably find one to buy. COB

The SMG Game will be at Wannaplay in Dillsburg on Saturday March 23rd. As before, all guns and paint provided. The field fee, courage and a sense of humor is all that is required.

This entire exchange sounds odd. I would like to buy something that I have no idea what it will cost. I'm not going to ask what the market is or has been. I'm just going to tell all prospective sellers that I have $x amount to spend. And What a co-inky dink, I have that item for that same amount. I'm staying out of this, no matter how many of these guns I have.

I have the SMG 60 with the rare clips and catcher. It does leak out of the barrel. No surprise, it's been in storage for along time. It's in very good condition. I have know idea what it is worth.

I'm not trying to interfere with your purchase of an SMG 60 or 68. I see that your listed as a Newbie. I have gathered from the discourse so far, that you do not have a lot of experience with these markers. Both are long out of production and have current issues. Both models require stripper clips to operate. Ethier 60 or 68 clips are not easily available or cheap. Both are designed to operate on liquid CO2, thus requiring siphon tanks and access to CO2 refills. This can be solved with a permanent modification to the valve and a higher output HPA tank. The clips can be 3D printed. The SMG68 has an aluminum feed magazine. The gun destroys this magazine fairly quickly. The SMG60 requires special 62 caliber paint that is not readily available. Both of the models have been remanufactured into the 68 special model, which is a gravity hopper feed, semi auto function marker. The SMG60's were full auto and the SMG68 came as full or semi auto. The SMG68 is scarcer due to the total production numbers, destruction and the 68 special conversions. The SMG60's are not as rare as most would believe, due to large production numbers. They are just hard to find because of all the issues required to keep them running. Also, very few fields allow the full auto guns to be used.
If you are still in the market for either of these models, let me know.
