Out of curiosity, what do you consider to be a good bolt and why are you opposed to Shocktech? I assume you're looking for something other than modifying a stock bolt, right?-
Just studying old posts in various forums and most people state the LV6 is the best due to its light weight and increased efficiency for mech Ions. I’ve read a handful of posts of people saying the Shocktech is not much better than stock. I have no first hand experience though. Did you have a different experience with the Shocktech bolt? Because if it’s good that will save me a lot of time and a little bit of money -
This is going to go in a Tippmann Raider though, not an Ion. I’m open to any suggestions and eduction on the subject -

I don't have first hand experience with the L6 bolt either, but from an engineering standpoint, I don't see a difference between it and the Shocktech bolt. But to that point, modified stock bolts are just as good. I've have a Shocktech bolt and modified stock bolts and noticed a very slight velocity increase in favor of the Shocktech bolt (maybe 5-10 FPS) but really nothing worth writing home about.
