    Wtb a loaner

So i have all the gear i need and enough for a 2nd victim... i mean, player. I would like to find an adequate loaner gun, simple, reliable, easy to find parts for and maintain... and cheap. I'm well versed in tippmanns, i have thought about spyders. Maybe a cheap spyder electro, or something?i would like to avoid trash like pirahna, brass eagle, and other no name low budget walmart garbage. Lets keep it classy. Lol

If anyone has a marker theyd be willing to sell, for cheap, please feel free to post a picture or two. I dont need hoppers.

Yeah most Piranhas are at least on par with Spyders if not better (depending on the era). The only exception to that might be the R6.

I started circa 04/05 era and played very heavily until about 2012ish. Started up again in 21'. I remember the 05ish era with every manufacturer it seemed selling stacked blowbacks with cheap feel, cheaper parts, ridiculously long trigger pull, unnecessary extras, gas hoggery, and all around trash. But that was also when tippmanns were considered a step above that, ions were the next step, and anything like a dye Dm, or autococker/electro was the next step above that. Anything angel, empire, etc was pro level.

Nowadays that the manufacturers have been folded and re shuffled, it seems tippmann is the bottom, then empire minis are the next leap, and after that its the crazy expensive stuff like etha, luxe, etc.

i just did not like the super low end stuff that they were pumping out back then.

Spyder detents arent as common as tippmann detents. Apart from that, theyre both quite reliable

I also find that rentals (myself included) like aiming over the top of the gun. But thats just personal preference

Piranhas were some of the best STBB's you could get for awhile. I bought one of his other frankspyders. They are cool! He has a vid of it shooting too.

Also $60-65 bucks seems to be the going rate for most e-framed STBB's. I just bought 4 different models recently all between that.
Heavily modified. The body is a from a Spyder E99 and has been cut/heavily modified. The gauge is not working properly (see pics). -Spyder RS regulator.

Spyders and Tippmanns are on SGW all day long and usually go for pretty cheap. Keep an eye on shipping though - their rates are all over the place.

Functionally the newer Pilot, Fenix, and Electra are crazy fast and have eyes to reduce chopping. Fenix and Electra models have an inline reg, pilot doesn’t. I find the ergos strange though - the grip frame is really chunky. They show up on SGW occasionally and are on eBay, sometimes for very little.

Yea ive probed around for electra acs's with the rocking trigger frame. Im super tempted to get one, maybe a 2nd one to cannabilize parts from if i need to. I had one for a short time around 08', but sold it bc someone offered a ridiculous amount for it. Lol wish i had kept it. I liked the kick and the rocking trigger. It was different.

You could also get a VS3 - rocking trigger + eyes and hpr. Frustrating how limited the boards were though

I have a proto slg if you would rather have something a little smoother and quieter

I might have an e framed spyder as well but I haven't gone through that if I even do. The slg was rebuilt about 2 months ago
