    Reliable Mech / EMEK Package

I lost my old gear in the Eaton Fire last month and going through list of items hit me with a wave of nostalgia, so I've decided to get some basic gear and play again to see what it's like after 15 years away. I'm especially interested in the resurgence of mech and want to put together some gear to play walk-ons and possibly some 10-man in the near future. A reliable mech setup under $500 is what I have in mind, but I'm open to see what might be out there.

Please let me know if you have a mech setup to sell or have any recommendations for someone returning to the sport.

    Much appreciated!

Tippman 98 with cyclone feed, 15 inch barrel.

      or

Used Gtek with mech frame and dye ltr hopper - depending how much you play, it has one of the easiest bolt out back systems.

The only reason I don't recommend a Emek is because the asa is garbage and has threaded bolt out back. You'll have to upgrade it and by the time you get it set up how you like, you'll be over budget. Only upside, you can use emc kit or mg100 look alike and only one that i know you can turn to mechanical full auto.

Thanks, I'll check out the Gtek. I'm seeing them for similar prices to the Emek. Also into the Tippman 98 idea although a little worried about paint handling if I decide to play some 10-man. Any particular reason for the LTR recommendation? I was thinking of getting a revvy since they're cheap and simple.

Well the LTR is force feed and great for high rates of fire. If you decide to switch from mech to electric, you won't have to buy another hopper. Its relatively easy to open, clean and maintain because its tool less, unless you tune it you'll need Allen keys. Uses AA batteries and It also looks nice in my opinion. You can also put it on a Tippmann, I just like the cyclone feed for the low profile hopper / look.

Etha 3M, a used LTR or Spire, and a carbon tank.

If you're on Facebook there's a guy on the Air Star Nova enthusiast FB page selling a Nova N2 for $270 worth a look

I have a pretty nice Inception Designs emek and a ctrl loader for under $500. I can see what I can piece together mask wise to make you a proflex and keep you under budget too.
