    Automag Tourney Lock

Hey guys, looking for an Automag Tournament Lock to finish a custom build, more specifically im looking for the aluminum "groovy" style one.
I believe they were made by smartparts and I think I've seen them on splash builds but I'm really not interested in parting one from a splash build cause I will be reanodizing it.
I have one, so I'll try to get a pic of it in a bit

I'm searching for one similar to the one I posted. The knurling on the KAPP ones don't really go with the build I have planned. Thanks though!

I had one of the standard knurled ring style ones. Can't remember if it had one or two set screws. What I have never understood was how in the hell they were supposed to actually do anything. They thread onto the velocity adjuster, sure, and you can tighten the set screws to make the tourney cap itself not want to turn. But how does that supposedly stop the velocity adjuster itself from turning?

I completely understand adding the set screws on those aftermarket velocity adjusters that could be turned by hand, because that would prevent you from turning them inwards and increasing velocity without tools. But on the stock adjusters, these "tourney lock" rings never made sense to me, like they were just for show. What am I missing?

They have a small hidden setscrew on the side that lock on the threads of the adjustment screw, so the ring thread and lock on the adjustment screw (just like a dial-a-welt) and the bigger set screw lock the ring to the body.
We used to just tighten the side screw on the end of the stock adjustment screw and use them like dial-a-welt 🫣

XEMON that would make sense mechanically, but I don't recall ever seeing any small set screw perpendicular to the threads on the one I had.

The kaap has it for sure, I thought the other one did to, but know I'll have to check 😅
